I think that’s why I wouldn’t bother (risk) with the ring in a car that I loved so much, the healthy fear of stacking it. Plus knowing the track helps immensely (the racing line is etched into the tarmac, still need to know the speed though) Now if you were out there in an old battered GTI you’d of been cocking up the back wheels. I’m sure you had good fun. Love this car mate, had my eye on a few. Great content mate. Subscribed 👍❤️

Very cautions lap Ben.. but certainly understand why though mate. I really want to do the Nürburgring but have major hesitation about it.

Agreed. Looking at the footage it looks way more hesitant than it felt in real life 😂 I also didn’t explain my near miss the day before when the rear end came round. The experience of a lap alone is worth the footage/pics haha

Great video. I've just bought a low mileage manual E92 M3 and really loving it so far. I did consider getting an early R8 which I could have got into for another 8-10K but wanted to have the comfort of some money in the bank in case of something major going wrong which is always a possibility in cars 15 years old. I'd be interested in hearing how the E92 M3 and R8 compare.

Good choice!

Man-O-Man, do I love your (even though it's the V-8) R8!! By the by, what year was your M3? Damn, it's rush hour on that track. What day of the week was this?

I had a 2010 v8 m3 manual. Kinda wish I’d gone for another lap straight after this video, but didn’t want to risk damaging the car 😅 This lap was 8am on a Sunday

@@be1441 I was about to purchase a 2010 M3 Manual but went to an MBZ SL class instead. I'll never make that mistake again. 8a on Sunday? I'm guessing that the track is more open at the same hour on a weekday, no?
