i feel like what's missing from what people are taking from this, is that this is a tremendously great example of discipline. each day was spent on learning a task within a reasonable time frame. reasonable goals were set and look at how much was achieved. trying to do too much all at once is what's leading people into feeling discouraged. instead of modeling an entire car, maybe just start by modeling a wheel. it's important to understand how to be fair to yourself by not placing yourself under so much stress right off in the beginning. just do a little thing each day in blender and stop. give yourself permission to pat yourself on the back once in awhile for doing something in 3d (or any art). soon enough you'll be doing much, much more
@gravitacion74124 жыл бұрын

Really impressive, I've Been doing 3D for about 16 years, and I can say that your progress is really amazing, considering it took you 30 days to learn how to model. 3D is not that hard really, you just need to learn basic tools that you'll be using them over and over. After that if you want to improve further you need to set more difficult challanges. My advice would be not to get too comfortable with the Lowpoly art style, but to experiment with more art styles, that will open more opportunities later for you. Don't get me wrong, there's nothing wrong with the Lowpoly art style, and for example realism is not the only alternative, but you have so many options to make a personal artstyle and the sooner you'll start to look for it, the further it will take you. Just my 2 cents, hope it's helpful. :)
@HendyAugust4 жыл бұрын
Thank you so much for your kind words, Laurynas :) it's great to hear such feedback from someone experienced. I completely agree with you. There's sooo many art styles in 3D to explore, but, low poly is the style that made me learn 3D in the first place, so I might stick with the low poly style for a while :) but, in the future, i will definitely explore more and more 3d art styles :) Thank you again, Laurynas, i really appreciate your feedback...

This guy: learns how to use blender in 30 days Me:doesn't even know how to move the camera

My favorite way to move the camera: _Add an empty to the scene_ _Select the camera_ _Go to the Constraints tab in Properties and select "Track To"_ _Set the Target to the empty you added_ _Set "To:" to be -Z_ _Set "Up:" to be Y_ Now when you look through the camera you can select the empty and wherever you move it the camera will aim at it.

Select the camera (you can do this by right or left clicking it (depening on what user interface settings you use) in the scene, or watching through the camera and selecting the outline of the passe-partout), and hit G and one of the corresponding axis you want to limit movement to, either x, y, z.
