Hello Lyn, I am Christopher Ojepa from Uganda. I have been following your shows since the times on Tuko Talks when you were conducting a show titled "The Japanese woman who married a Kenyan man." I am an Information Technology graduate since April 2021. I have been learning programing (python-django) since University, but at times I get demotivated because of being jobless and feel like giving up at times. But I am motivated by this Lady today and I pray that if I can get any way to enter the industry, get hands on training and and gain confidence( really need help from someone here including the our guest on the show), that will be the best for me! Thanks lyn and our guest for the show.

These are the stories we need to hear more often. I get tired of listening to stories about only people who do certain jobs where they have to work only one type of job(im sure some of you know what kind of job i am talking about). Ugandans especially are very negative about Ugandans who work and live abroad. At least You Kenyans, you have some positiveness. I also have a professional job with the option to work from home. In fact, if anything, i have not suffered abroad. Of course, challenges have been there, but i left suffering in Uganda. I went to university here and got a good job and live just like any other citizen.

'In Kenya, this sexual abuse happens...' I confirm this, having been a victim countless times in my childhood. It defined who I am today, 47yrs old and it's still raw. Why? Because we don't have a system where victims are taken care of and most cases go unreported. Sadly, the victim may have to suffer for the rest of their lives. Thanks, Lynn and Josephine, for this episode My take home from this is that experiences, both good and bad, make us who we are.❤

You are welcome. It's something I wasn't sure I'd share. I hope it encourages someone going through challenges

I'm sure it will. My 15 year old got a high scholarship this year and is in St Louis Missouri. I've shared this story because I'm sure it will encourage him

This is one of the most inspiring moving beautiful stories. Goodness! These trials and tribulations people go through aki. I am more disappointed with the villagers and pple from home who instead of like being supportive, patient especially to kids who have lost parents, they abuse them and talk ill of them and their future. Saying all manner of hateful slurs. Wueh! But testimony nayo the Universe and all it's abundance, grace and comfort. Shames all of them.
