I’m SO curious how your opinions/rankings might change after hearing live performances! That’s honestly what shifted a lot of preferences for me. Album Sweet Lies is mediocre, but the mixing on the live version… it’s way more haunting and it makes it so much better (in my eyes). It was the same for a lot of their songs. I love seeing tracks from Don't Fight the Feeling and Exist so high on your list; people are a little harsh on those two albums because they are the most recent ones and people are nostalgic by nature, but I really think they are a natural progression in EXO's career. You can hear their growth and maturing in those albums. I also loved seeing personal favorites of mine that are often forgotten by the fandom (They Never Know, Chill, Day After Day, No Matter, Winter Heat) so high on the list!!

As a long time fan it’s so hard for me to personally rank and choose my favorite songs of theirs, since they obviously have SO many songs and my favorite can change by-monthly or by whatever mood I’m feeling, so I definitely admire your bravery in tackling a ranking like this! Obviously I can’t say I could agree with all of these rankings either, and some were surprising, but that’s what makes it interesting. I think I started feeling out your favorite genres and styles you lean towards, so it started to make sense. Damage is not at all my favorite for example, and I would’ve put something like Miracles in December, Mama, or Lucky One for example, much higher, but it makes sense at the same time realizing your tastes. Wolf at the very bottom made me chuckle b/c I get it. It’s a classic but also known to definitely be a required taste and pretty divisive for fans…but I have to admit it was one of the ones along with History, Growl, and Overdose that got me into them. It’s absolutely wild and goofy but it’s also why I kinda like it in a way. Some of the older ones have to grow on you. Mama did that to me for sure over the years and it’s probably one of my top ones now. But I totally agree they’ve aged like fine wine with their music and their recent albums show that so well. They just feel like they’ve gotten better and better and I cannot tell you how many times I’ve come back to their newer stuff like the Obsession album. They’ve really found a groove and are in their bag and I’m glad someone else can recognize and appreciate that. Thanks for sharing the list and giving them a thorough shot!

Thank you so much for the video! Ranking exo's discography is not easy because of how huge it is. Despite some of my favorite songs were low placed, i personally like your tierlist so much, It just shows how amazing and diverse exo discography is and that they have many things to offer for every kind of person. My top3 fav songs are 1. With you 2. What if 3. Good night Exist is my favorite album too! I loved too see that you enjoyed it so much to even have five of it's song on your top10. yeah exactly exo have always been good but they've also been around 12 years and have continued to improve in that time (and kpop music production also sounds a lot better now lol). a lot of their old stuff was fantastic then but kind of pales in comparison to the things they've put out in the years since. i feel that way about growl, for example. an absolute classic but it came out in 2013! they have much better songs now. (many things do still hold up, though!)

Exactly. That’s coz most old EXO-Ls are fans of EXO’s pure vocal heavy songs, you know like with lots of harmonies and high notes, the classic SM style, and the compositions were quite different then. These days it is transitioning towards a bit of noise music like NCT. And they’re leaning towards experimental music and more heavy on beats, electronic music etc. But a lot of old EXOLs really love the old style that SM songs had with the classic rap part and the rest of the song being purely vocal and heavily emotional and melodious.

I know Growl is EXO’s top 3 popular song but I wouldn’t mind if you ranked it at 118. But Miracles in December at 118 is unimaginable. Not the way many of the songs that are ranked 90 and below are in my top 30 😂 although I do have a hard time ranking EXO songs properly because I love all their songs, with few exceptions

@@carkpop No, I liked it. But the best song from that album for me was Cinderella. Still I would put it (and Cream Soda) in the second ten. And I absolutely disagree with putting almost all ballads at the end of the list. Miracle in December in 118th place is a crime!

I'm just not a ballad person in general, especially when it's very slow and filled with long notes. I need something to drive the ballad for me rhythmically, or a weirdly structured part that has something to look forward for me. A for example; *Been Through* - If you count this as a ballad (I kinda do), it has a very heavy beat with rhythms that drive the song forward for me. But in general, EXO's ballads are just not really my taste for slow vibes in music, hence why they're so low for me. Hopefully that explains it
