I’m a huge fan of Floret, so I probably wouldn’t mention this other than she’s not selling seeds this year. But Johnny’s is selling (NEW!) zinnia seeds that are similar in colors to a couple of Erin’s varieties!
@DigginandDoin8 күн бұрын
I peeped that on their site too.

I had some zinnia seeds overwinter and emerged in my yard near the flower bed where I planted them earlier this year. I dug them up and moved them to one of the beds and they’re still blooming. Zone 7A in Virginia.

I'm so glad they're germinating. I checked my seeds (not floret) but they were so thin, nothing inside I didn't bother saving.

Nicole.. I'm glad to hear you are recovering. I received the feild Guide from dr. Armitage today🎉 thanks a bunch for recommending it. I heard you could start early and pinch them/Zinnia, several times by the way.. i put out in May after frost..they lasted until late Oct. they even went through 1 or two light frosts. You should keep it going and see what happens😄

Ugh! I understand losing one's voice. Get in some extra rest. I must have an addiction. As soon as you said peony roots, my ears perked up. 🤦🏼♀️ I have lots of peonies and it's pretty late to be planting in Minneapolis. I'm excited for the three I got this year. Two are super fragrant Duchesse du Comtesse and the other is an Itoh Julia Rose variety. I may or may not get blooms next spring as they're young. Happy planting.

Btw maybe you needed a heat mat for the zinnias ?
@FlowerHillFarm17 күн бұрын
It's 72 in my basement so I opted out of using it for just the one pot. I also didn't think it would translate to much heat because of how deep the soil was compared to the soil blocks or smaller cells I typically use. I'll definitely use the heat mats in the spring!

Full of Ticks …. in my slings of Vermont Compost last 2 years! Nightmare. FYI
@mraereed17 күн бұрын
Get chickens. We had 33 of them up until a couple of years ago. Our tick population has doubled since we downsized. We now have 4 and will be adding eight more in the spring. I'm thinking about just letting them loose in my hoop house every once in awhile.b
