Another winning slice of superb film - PizzaFlix has the best ingredients! Jean Parker was so talented and expressive, capable of being effective in so many different kinds of stories. Thank you!!

As a young boy growing up in the 1940s I love the Boston blackie movies with Chester Morris. He was always a dapper dresser and always had a contagious smile with a slight chuckle in his voice. I never missed his movies back then.

In Chester Morris early days he was a premier A rated actor and a nominee for a academy award. As time went on he was in the Boston blackie series. In later years he had serious health problems suffering from cancer of the stomach. In 1970 he died from an barbiturate overdose at age 69. Close friends of Chester stated that he might have taken his own life because of the severe pain he was in.

Chester Morris and Jean Arthur work well together. A pretty good little time waster.

Umm... Jean PARKER. Jean Arthur's husky voice sounds like she spent time with PHILLIP Morris ;-)

At the beginning, the department was called "News and Special Events". That rather describes MSM today except for the "news" part. And we wonder why "news" programs are so bad today.

After 80 years some parts of these old pictures don't hold up so good. The amazing thing is that these flicks aren't faded to black by now.
