An incredible journey you've had! It's sad you've got so little views after all these years. I've finished my uni a year ago and I'm thinking about coming to Japan as an IT specialist too... but I wonder if I could bear it with their work culture.

Awesome video! We certainly relate to the influences Japan had on you as a person! Everybody gets affected in some way after being in Japan for a while. While some things might seem quaint, we always encourage our students to become familiar with Japanese ways. Doing so will broaden your horizons and offer you a different perspective on life! We look forward to working with you and keep up the great work! 🤩

Thanks a lot for your comment and for the partnership guys! Nothing to add to that - even if you don't notice it at first, looking back, you will notice you're a changed person.

I heard a story of a gaijin working in japan who had is own office with a door that locked (rare I know). The story went that he bought a mannequin and at quitting time would set it in his chair facing away from the door that had a glass window and sneak out the back stairwell. He put a set of old fashioned headphones on the mannequin and so as his co workers peered into his office it appeared that he was always the last to leave and couldn’t hear a knock at his office door. Each morning he was a little early to put away his wooden doppelgänger. I can’t truly confirm the tale, but if it was true….he was a genius. 😂

There are ups and downs. Overall it's pretty smooth sailing, with the occasional being super annoyed. Especially because of bureaucracy and inefficiency.

Would be nice if you can do an interview with Onigiri Eddy in Tokyo. It's a young German guy living there and doing POV Videos as delivery driver. Just an idea 😊 thx

How did you got the certificate of eligibility for the visa
@JapaneseJourney
@JapaneseJourney Жыл бұрын
I didn't. I was already married to a Japanese national, came on a tourist visa, then changed it to a spouse visa once there and later to a permanent one. So I applied directly for a visa in Japan, without CoE.

You don’t have to say tadaima. You’re not inJapan anymore.

Of course not. Also in Japan you don't have to. But it's probably good to greet the people you're living with when you're back home. So I'd say it's a question of manners and what language you speak in your household.

How has Japan changed you? You look older than you did 7 years ago! 😩 Most bidet toilet seats are pressure-sensitive. Not sure how you got yours to work without sitting on it. At 01:26 "It sprayed until the kid's room". Did you mean it sprayed as far as the kid's room? Wonderful view of Tokyo at 02:41. The air is so clear, and Fuji is not looming over the city courtesy of a telephoto lens. I presume the image was taken in winter. I wonder how your family are coping with the change of country? Maybe another video?

John! Welcome back to the channel!!! 🎉 How have you been doing since we almost talked in Osaka? Some of the washlets have light sensors, others, such as this one, are pressure-sensitive. So I just pressed down on it while filming. And yes, that's exactly what I meant by that. As far as the kid's room. I think it might have been some morning in February when I took that picture. Family is a whole other topic. Since I mostly exclude them on the channel, I'm not sure whether there'll be a follow-up or not.

When I worked in Japan they deducted the sick days from my salary. This is also an option if you don`t want to give away your holidays. I`m glad to be back in Germany and take a month of holidays! :)
