I'll Be Here In The Morning - Townes Van Zandt (Allison Young cover)

This past weekend, three of my close friends took all got tested for Covid-19 and once we all came back negative, we took to the Blue Ridge mountains! We were all going a bit stir crazy here in Nashville and wanted a change of scenery.
We had such a great time despite most of our usual vacation attractions were closed, and we spent all of our time outside in nature. (Hiking with a mask on isn't truly as bad as you think either!) We spent most of our trip hiking around the Blue Ridge Parkway, and the two overlook location you see in the video are at the Craggy Gardens and Mt. Mitchell (Which is the highest elevation east of the Mississippi!)
I thought of a lot of songs that I'd like to use to go along with the footage that I got of the mountains, and the best fit that I though of was Townes Van Zandt. He was such an amazing singer-songwriter and has inspired me a lot in the past few years.
"Townes Van Zandt" is the third studio album by the American singer-songwriter Townes Van Zandt, released in September 1969 by Poppy Records. "I'll Be Here In The Morning" was his second song on Side B of his album. It includes re-recordings of four songs from his 1968 debut album, including the first serious song he ever wrote, "Waitin' Around To Die".

I'm not sure what I enjoyed more. The music or the memories that came back of going on road trips with my friends when I was a much, much younger man. Off on a hike, bike ride or up to the lake, floating down the river on inner tubes. Road trip with a tent, my best friend (now my wife of 40 years) off to the Rockies. Hello Allison, I have been watching and listening to you for about a month or so. And you are AWESOME!!! Your style and voice and your vision is that of an Old Soul. And what I mean by that is, if you were to go back in time and be a singer in the late 50's early 60's you would be head lining up there with Patsy Cline & Brenda Lee just to name a couple. And for you to bring that style back and have today's generation hear the purity in your voice and that you can also add your own flavor to it is priceless. Keep up the good work. It wont be long and you will be on tour in the Big League. (On a side note) I'm Jealous you get to live in Nashville. I'm an Arizona Boy stuck living in Southern Cali. Went to Aviation School in Millington (Outside of Memphis) when I was in the Marine Corps and would go up to Nashville on the weekends. I fell in love with the place.
