I can still hear my grandmother singing this as she did her housework, or while cooking, etc. She didn’t have more than a 6th grade education, but she read her KJV Bible every day. She got to fly away a few years ago. I’m so thankful to Jesus that our family was blessed to have her here until she was 92 years old. I can’t wait to see her again. She helped raise me to know Jesus as my Savior and to trust in Him always, and I am now raising my children to know Jesus and have a personal relationship with Him as their Savior, trusting Him in all things. What a blessing to pass down to my children knowledge of the Bible, teach them the gospel of Christ, and watch them grow in their love of our Lord Jesus Christ. Having Jesus as our personal Savior is the greatest treasure there is.❤️

@Mr Lion, What specific part of Matthew chapter 7 are you referring to or are you being vague intentionally?
@echo-qe4gw4 жыл бұрын
@Mr Lion, What does the Bible mean that we are not to judge others? Question: "What does the Bible mean that we are not to judge others?" Answer: This is an issue that has confused many people. On one hand, we are commanded by the Lord Jesus, “Do not judge, or you too will be judged” (Matthew 7:1). On the other hand, the Bible also exhorts us to beware of evildoers and false prophets and to avoid those who practice all kinds of evil. How are we to discern who these people are if we do not make some kind of judgment about them? Christians are often accused of "judging" whenever they speak out against a sinful activity. However, that is not the meaning of the Scripture verses that state, "Do not judge." There is a righteous kind of judgment we are supposed to exercise-with careful discernment (John 7:24). When Jesus told us not to judge (Matthew 7:1), He was telling us not to judge hypocritically. Matthew 7:2-5 declares, "For in the same way you judge others, you will be judged, and with the measure you use, it will be measured to you. Why do you look at the speck of sawdust in your brother's eye and pay no attention to the plank in your own eye? How can you say to your brother, ‘Let me take the speck out of your eye’ when all the time there is a plank in your own eye? You hypocrite, first take the plank out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother's eye." What Jesus was condemning here was hypocritical, self-righteous judgments of others. In Matthew 7:2-5, Jesus warns against judging someone else for his sin when you yourself are sinning even worse. That is the kind of judging Jesus commanded us not to do. If a believer sees another believer sinning, it is his Christian duty to lovingly and respectfully confront the person with his sin (Matthew 18:15-17). This is not judging, but rather pointing out the truth in hope-and with the ultimate goal-of bringing repentance in the other person (James 5:20) and restoration to the fellowship. We are to speak the truth in love (Ephesians 4:15). We are to proclaim what God's Word says about sin. 2 Timothy 4:2 instructs us, "Preach the Word; be prepared in season and out of season; correct, rebuke and encourage - with great patience and careful instruction." We are to "judge" sin, but always with the goal of presenting the solution for sin and its consequences-the Lord Jesus Christ (John 14:6). If you don't judge evil you are condoning it! You need to do more judging young fellow.

This song even is known and loved in Asia - in a Muslim nation such as Indonesia ♥️ How gospel reaches its purposes to many nations that many don’t even know/realize. I’ve know this song since my family became believers years ago long before I came to USA Romans 1:16 For I am not ashamed of the Gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one who believeth, to the Jew first and also to the Greek.

Special song to me. When my almost 96 year old Mom died her pastor heard from friends in 3 different churches/denominations in their small city. Everyone was calling to say "I don't know what hymns are chosen but you have to have "I'll Fly Away" as it was May's favourite". As she lay dying, unconscious, I would sing to her. When I sang this song her lips moved as in her mind she was singing along with me.

That wonderful day is getting closer every day! Accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior right now if you haven’t done so already. It’s easy because Jesus already did it all for us on the cross. He suffered and died for our sins and will soon come back for his church / true followers. Three steps to salvation: 1. Admit you’re a sinner. 2. Believe Jesus is Lord. 3. Call on His name. If you say that little prayer sincerely you will be saved or spiritually born again right now. Do it now! Life is like a vapor - here today and gone tomorrow. Take a good hard look at what’s going on all around us. You cannot call these times normal. Accept Jesus now. Tomorrow may be too late. Today is your day of salvation. ❤️

I’m set free from my sins I’m happier than I’ve ever been, And when I share the gospel with people like we did in downtown LA this weekend, I get Gods power in my life fore being faithful to Him! 🙏 The difference between heaven and hell is a 15 second prayer to Jesus?, that doesn’t make any sense and that’s not in the Bible! why would he suffer so much on the cross for that, God’s not stupid!

This is was a great idea. Percussion usually has to be toned down a bit when recording so it doesn't overpower the voices. Recording vocal harmonies outdoors is no easy task. This was very well done!

Thank you gentlemen! My mom’s favorite. She asked to have it sung at her funeral and we did(this time last year). She would have loved how you played it. She used to say, “It isn’t a dirge, it is supposed to be joyful.” Thank you again.

Glad you’re going to church try to step out in your faith and try to witness to people & evangelize, get on fire for God! You’ll start storing up treasures in heaven for yourself by being a useful vessel on this earth to get others saved. or at least convict them so they can get saved!

You have to have Jesus of the Bible to go to heaven so you gotta read the Bible to make sure you got the right Jesus!

@@jjphank I believe in God the Father Almighty and in Jesus Christ, His only begotten Son. Who was concieved by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, dead and buried. He descended into Hell. On the 3rd day He rose again from the dead. He ascended into Heaven and sittith at the right hand of God the Father Almighty. From thence He shall come to judge the quick and the dead. I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy catholic Church, the communion of Saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and life everlasting. Amen.

@@Aaryq is that the Nicene creed? I agree with most of that, Parts That are verified from the Bible !just be careful of the Catholic Church/Orthodox “the first church” Jesus said in John 4 those who worship me what must worship in spirit and in truth! The two churches I named of Adam lots of traditions some from the Old Testament, you have priests which is old testament that’s not New Testament they’re trying to serve 2 covenants, we’re under the New Testament covenant!
@Aaryq3 жыл бұрын
@@jjphank It's the Apostles Creed. I'm a Christian. I believe in the Triune God of Holy Scripture. I don't know what all you're trying to convince me of because if you don't affirm the Apostles Creed (and the Nicene Creed for that matter) then I would suggest you're well outside of the realm of orthodoxy and in danger of damnation.
@jjphank3 жыл бұрын
@@Aaryq you should know full well I was talking about the Catholic/orthodox churches! reread the first two sentences of my last message! Do you read the Bible do you know what it says? or do you follow man-made documents! this is why you’re going to be in trouble with God if you don’t do that! Jesus says in the Bible, man shall not live by bread alone but by every word out of Gods mouth! Matthew 4:4 The Bible is eternal and you’ll never exhaust its contents throughout eternity, therefore do not ignore that book! Here’s the proof: Jesus said, heaven and earth will pass away but my words will never pass away! Matthew 24:35
