Just wanted to thank you for putting itinerary on the thumb nail. It really helps when im trying to rewatch an episode for information.

For removing makeup from clothing around the neck I sometimes take a cotton pad with some micellar water and gently dab at the fabric and it helps to remove the makeup. I figured if it can remove makeup from my skin, may as well try it for removing makeup from my clothing. I think the main thing is to be very gentle.

Regarding the question about wearing thin spots in socks: I know that I always wear out the ball of my foot first. I've started adding additional darning in that area when I finish making the sock to prevent the wear in the that area. There are many KZbin videos showing different ways to do this, either by adding an extra strand of reinforcing thread or by weaving in extra yarn on the back side which is my preferred method. The extra yarn just felts into the area where I tend to get extra wear, and makes my socks last longer. Hope that helps!

I look forward to your podcast every week, and I love your new TED Talks! For storage bobbins, I use Leclerc styrene spools, which can fit up to 100 g of yarn depending on yarn thickness, and how tightly it's wound on. They're easily found in an internet search, and cost maybe US$4 each. See you next week!

I think that using a pretreater spray on the stain (like Shout spray) on the stain and letting it set for 5 minutes before washing the garment will do a good job removing make-up stains ; its the oil in the stain which sticks to the fiber. The spray contains enzymes which break down small proteins so I would do a test swatch first to make sure it doesn't harm the yarn.

Got your email and immediately bought the pattern - thanks for the discount! Then I thought about it for a few hours and went to look at the yarn. Then I ordered the yarn. I've *never* done that for a pattern based only on the description. So well done. Can't wait to start this!

A little original Dawn dishwashing liquid works great on stains. Safe for ducks and safe for your wool. Palmolive also has a clean and clear version. Works on underarm stains from deodorant too. A little vinegar on top will help remove colour stains. I usually follow up with some Eucalan to add back some lanolin.

Thanks Andrea, for talking about the difference in the yarn substitutions of your new sweater and how important that is and why, etc. I do love your 2nd version more and I think the important take-away here is to be sure and swatch as well. Thanks for taking the time to find an alternate yarn weight and substitutions that could also work in addition to the one you used in the first version. It is very much appreciated. I love learning new things from your informative videos!

Awesome episode thank you!! I am trying to learn support spindle spinning and self taught. It’s also part of my long draw spin along. I’ve had so many crazy issues in learning. I did great to practice flicking without fiber. I attached the fiber and couldn’t spin. The fiber was I’m the way. I finally figured out the issue and angle of the spindle/fiber. The next issue was the long draw. I’ve been parking and drafting and all thumbs to spin. Your explanation was perfect!! I have to try it out. Thanks for the info also of the spindle makers. The one I have now is from the dancing goat and like it but have nothing to compare it to yet. I do have the mushroom spindle on order. Should be here any day now. And the Spanish Peacock I drool over. Only has been impossible to get. Funny how I’m obsessed when I’m still learning,, I was never like that with a drop spindle. I am with my wheels though. But after all of this; thank you

Thank you for the chat on using fluffy fibers - it's just what I needed today! I'm swatching for a brioche sweater, using a fingering merino-cashmere plus a laceweight suri for the 2 fingering weight yarns in the pattern. I held the suri double for the first part of my swatch, and my gauge was waaay off. Instead of 22 stitches per 4 inches on size 3 needles, I had 17. Now I'm going to try again with a single strand of suri and see if I get any closer. Brume is gorgeous, and will be the perfect project for the Spinster's Daughter "Love me like you used to" I have in my stash. I'm also a fan of the folded down collar - love the structure without the constriction :-)

I have been waiting for a pattern like the Brume pattern! I apppreciate the discount! I bought a sweater years ago that I wanted to remake and this pattern will be perfect! A setting spray after the setting powder might work for preventing the make-up on clothes issue. Charlotte Tillbury's setting spray has been recommended to work well.

I don’t know if this is a tip anyone should actually follow, but I do knit for my little girls. And they are the grubbiest creatures ever. I make our own soap (super-fatted coconut oil lye soap) and I will literally put their sweaters in the bath and take the bar of soap and rub it on the super dirty and stained areas. Usually I’ll rinse them out and let the sweaters soak in a conditioning bath for a half hour afterwards, but it works every time. I’d rather wear my precious knits too than keep them just for special days 🧡

38:18 of course we're still here! I'm always here for all the goodness, knowledge drop, and excitement for knitting and fiber ❣️🥰 I LOVE you, your channel, and hopefully soon I'll be a proficient enough knitter to be able to do 1 of your sweater patterns! BTW, as I am currently working on the Bakker Shawl as my 1st 'real' knitting project(I would have done your everyday shawl if I'd seen it before casting on), what sweater of yours do you suggest I start with as a new knitter? What are your thoughts on what to start with, top-down or bottom-up construction? I sew and quilt so I do have construction experience at least lol

Wonderfurl podcast! Andrea, you are always so resourceful, fun, helpful and positive, and you definitely look great with both sweaters, although I am a little bit partial with the blue one. I love the Brume sweater, and I wonder if a good substitution for the OhDang yarn could be the Blue Sky Fiber Brushed Suri , also DK, and also very light and fluffy. Stains: I iive in Switzerland, and I have been successful in cleaning stains from make up using the Marseille soap, easily available in our stores.

i feel for questioner #2! my thoughts are mostly abt prevention--some youtuber suggested draping a thin scarf over your face when you pull a sweater on, and i wondered if Ms Q2 could wear a thin, small washable scarf around her neck to take the worst of the makeup. i use a setting spray from Urban Decay that seems to keep goop on my face [and makes it a tad harder to remove]. washing--soak the sweater longer?? idk. looking forward to seeing other suggestions!

Thanks for sharing all of your experience! Love this episode-I don’t wear makeup, but my daughter does, and I was thinking about the makeup setting spray (Urban Decay) she uses to help prevent transfer onto clothes. Which tinted sunscreen do you use? Always looking for a good one to try!

I've just been watching episode 97 and listened to the answer about copyright. I left a comment there forgetting it was an old episode so thought I'd add it here as it's more likely to get seen - here it is: 'I fully understand about the selling of finished projects being a big NO and a breach of copyright, but what about giving finished projects as gifts to friends or family? Is this ok?'
