@@willdembik688 You should have kept Amsoil in the engine, transmission and differential(s) from the time the vehicle is brand new. Then you keep it until it either exceeds 600,000+ miles, or it reaches a point where it is so old that you can no longer get parts for it. Don't use any dealer fluids. They have no incentives for you to keep your car until you die. They are in the business of selling cars. They will give you fluids to keep you happy until warranty. It's better to keep Amsoil in everything so that you can go very far on drain intervals (i.e. 1 year oil changes, 100,000 mile drains on ATF and differential fluids). These will keep your vehicle running like new. Then just worry about small repairs that Amsoil can't cover, such as water pump, spark plugs, battery, alternator, etc. Those are all minor repairs compared to replacing an engine or major drivetrain component.

The message here is buying any automobile is a bad financial investment. New cars depreciate as much as 30% when you drive them off the lot. Luxury cars are the worst financial investment. Their depreciation in the first 24 months is insane. Buying a late model used car will save money. Plan on driving that new car for at least 7-10 years unless money is meaningless to you. Cars are one of the worst financial investment people make. Prestige is the reason most people buy a particular car, but wealthy people are the only ones that can afford to do that. That new car pride usually doesn’t last long after the first payment, of 59 more to come, is due.

I buy cars and keep them until they blow up. Still rocking my Sorento with 220k miles, been keeping it maintained and no issues. Before that I had a 2003 Mitsubishi. Got up to 350k miles on it until some old lady ran into it in the parking lot.

Good choice , oddly enough that’ll still last longer than the Escalade would. I have a 01 sequoia with the same engine it’s still running new with quarter million miles

How long are we going to have to wait for the market come back normal?
@UntamedMotors11 ай бұрын
I’d hope to see a normal swing come 2025… after election season comes to a close.

When do you think the market will bottom and be best time for buying?
@UntamedMotors11 ай бұрын
I’d say end of 2024 will be the best time to buy. 👍

Awesome buy. These are bullet proof. The aftermarket is insane. I think you will enjoy this GX and probably buy another Lexus when you go searching for your new car later on. It is a manufacturer that once you own one, it's hard to own anything else. Throw some Volk Rays wrapped in some Nitto Grapplers AT and get a leveling kit. The thing will look sweet.

This is much better than those new overpriced fancy vehicles. That 4.7 will never die

I Have watched 3 videos from this channel and have learned a lot I was about to to buy a new pickup 😬 Now that I’m thinking my pick up might be old but it’s been a very reliable vehicle and still in good condition Its not about what I want but what I need and can afford!

Nearly 12 K for a vehicle with nearly 200K miles, good on you for doing the homework, hope it gives you many more miles of maintenance free driving without a lot of repair costs

Those GM trucks are pretty solid. You did put a bit of mileage on it in just 7 months. You also have to factor in the geographic area where you are selling it. Some vehicles sell better in areas of the country than others. I would say the market is not crashing in all areas of the US as you may indicate. Depends on make, model and demand. When are you opening up your vehicle brokerage facility on your land?

Great choice!!! I almost bought one myself but ended up buying my 80 series…it’ll be interesting what mods you will do with this one…

Getting rid of the pricey rides, for a reasonable family-hauler. Very wise move!!! Congrats
