I'm 35 and work with several people who are in their late 50's and early 60's. ALL of them have been through some type of job loss either through the company's bankruptcy, bad economy, or cut backs. So it's not if you lose your job it's when you lose your job so keep a nice emergency fund for when it happens. People that have 30+ year careers with a single company is pretty much a thing of the past. Protect yourself!

@susancraigo8218
@susancraigo8218 2 жыл бұрын
No pensions either. You have to start saving in your younger years for retirement at lower wages and high student loan debt. I can't remember when a company gave more than a 2% wage increase, and your insurance premiums go up about the same, so there is really no raise to keep up with inflation. You have to change jobs to get an increase. You walk away from 401k match money because your not fully vested. When you reach 40 and lose your job, you realize you have to take about a 20% pay cut. Yes, saving is the right thing to do, but I can tell you that many of my emergencies have cost more than $1k. Some of the basic car repairs can be expensive if your car is out of warranty.

Do you remember when you were a child? You ate, drink and slept under a roof. You were taken care of completely that you had no mean doing now. Your trust was in your parent or guardian. They made sure you had everything you needed. You didn’t so much as to live a finger to get a meal. And here you are today. Today is no different. Today you are that child and your father is Our Father who is in heaven‘s name is holy. He will take care of you just as a child. As if you were that child, trust the Father and his Provision.

Expenses expand to fit your income regardless of what you earn. My office closed and we all got binned after being there a long time. Everything changes, it's very real and scary, even with a good payoff. The fact that life as you know it is being turned upsidedown can be pretty overwhelming. I real feel for this woman and hope she listens to and acts on Dave's advice. However CPTSD is a real possibility. I stuck in and 4 years on I still have the same roof over my head and all is well. But at the time the fear is real. It will be ok.

There's a failure to file penalty which filing extension stops and failure to pay penalty which isn't super high. Filing extension gives you 6 months to get it together without IRS demanding money. Probably not a big help to file extension but I'd think it thru first.

Young women are being influenced into careers in our culture, but the long term sacrifice of later years and not having a family is not worth it. Where are all the work colleagues that this woman worked with in the past. Are they there now supporting her, given what she gave up for them. Nope.

Once institutional money comes in the crypto space, the conservative estimate of the marketcap will be 3 to 5 trillion. Buying the right crypto right now is a good investment. I day trade them and making an average of 1-2% a day or 30% a month is way too easy. Then i put my money in mutual funds or ETFs with a good track record.
