A similar thing happened to me. I was searching for Slowpoke in Pokemon Sun (for some reason) and I found a shiny Wingull instead. My brain vaguely registered the shiny effect, I went on autopilot and hit "run", and I regretted it immediately. Years later I was playing Arceus and I saw a Shiny Graveler. I was about to catch it when the time of day changed and it despawned. Sadness ensued. Glad you found your shiny, though!

I didn't know Mawile was the perfect SOS chaining pokemon, i'll have to get myself one in USUM for some shiny hunting in the future, thanks for this video mate

I have a 2ds that I got 2 years ago and whoever sold it to my parents made it powerful because when it fell in a puddle it still worked perfectly fine

If you think about it every shiny encounter has 50% odds. It’s either shiny or it isn’t 😇
