I LOVE FISHING TACKLE STORES! GTO WALK THRU

There is nothing for fun for an angler than exploring a fishing tackle store! We walk thru GTO - Guntersville Tackle and Outdoors just down the street from Lake Guntersville. Paul the owner is stocked up with Gambler stuff for the upcoming free tournament September 28th and there's also a bunch of cool local fishing lures! One of the most interesting things I found was a topwater chopper lure I've never seen before from Jackall and a Megabass Big M 4.0 Crankbaits, a monster squarebill crankbait which I can't wait to try out grass fishing!

Man I’ve never tried a spro rat but I ordered some stuff of eBay once and was supposed to get hollow body rat baits. They came in and was more like a hollow body mouse. 😂 I mean the size of your thumbnail or just a bit bigger. To be honest I used them in ponds and absolutely hammered on the bass. They were choking it which wasn’t hard to do but they did work. Lol

This tackle shop is only 10 minutes from my house. They have very good lure inventory. Better then Academy Sports in Huntsville. Couldnt get bobber stops at Academy....GTO had them.

Dude I'm frieds with the ledge hog guys. They make some siiiiiiick gear. I use their Mag blade baits and just did a video on their Mag spinnerbaits. 2.5 ounces for the ledges.

Spots love crappie lures just as much as crappie do. Get a couple baby shads and some 1/16 and 1/8 jig heads and go off of depth and current to decide which weight.

Love GTO. Go there on my lunch breaks at least once a week. Paul greets everyone that walks in the door and thanks you when you leave. I can’t count how many pros I’ve met there. Local guys like Randy Howell and Gerald Swindle are in there a lot. Love going on tournament mornings.

Have caught a lot on the spro rat 40. There are days where they just NEED to kill it. I heard morning dawn is the best color, havent throw it, just the brown with a roboworm hot tip for a tail. It is a blast when they are on it!!!
