Since Kody can"t get in the creek now, have you thought about getting him a small kiddie pool to put in your back yard. My son has one for his lab. Oh and be careful of snakes kiddo! I like your journal. If you like peanut butter, try a Tbsp with a small glass of milk and 1 mg of melatonin. If you take too many mgs it will do the opposite and cause insomnia. The funny thing about it is, i has a little pool for him at home in Indiana, and he didn't care for it lol. He loves the creek though... and any body of water. That was a few years ago so maybe he'd like one now, idk!! He's silly. 🥰😊

Praying for you my friend, you will find a job that is right for you!! I was a dental assistant for 12 years, tired of drama, just plain tired of the long hours. Tried another dental office wasn't a good fit for me. Took 3 months off while applying for jobs in the meantime, now working for Kroger in the bakery department & love it. May not be making what I was as a assistant, but am happy going to work. You will find something that is fullfilling for you. Keep up your spirits & pray about it, the Lord will provide. Hang in there. I know it is so challenging when your mind just keeps going. I get so bad, sometimes, that I will eventually fall asleep, only to wake up and it starts in again. It's crazy how the mind works and how hard it is to quiet things down so you can sleep. I've got a lot going on right now and I have had the same problem. You know it's bad, when you finally fall asleep because you're so exhausted you can barely stand up. I hope just the right thing comes your way, jobwise. I can see the sadness in your face, when you talk about things you miss. Life can sure be hard sometimes. 🙏

I do miss my other dog Baylee, i always will....i know my daughter will come down here eventually, and i get to visit her, but Baylee... I'll never see her again. 😔

Luckily, you can even get those online, (but it's so fun to go digging for them in thrift stores or yard sales!)

My youngest sister Erica was nicknamed Dee. No idea why, we always found it funny. I have to walk every morning, as our rescue dog, Lulu, won't #2 in our unfenced yard so I take her 2 minutes up the road to a park or 5 minutes up the road to the County Picnic areas and walk between them. She can really move it, and I do my best to keep up with her😂. We see so many chipmunks! That connect the dots pic you showed and said you didn't see anything, I saw a sitting bear. My sleep has been sporadic, too.

Yes, the only ice cream shop in Newport! Never been. Ice cream doesn't always get along with my stomach, plus, i don't like to spend extra money on that right now. But I've heard it's good!

I chose the Favorites page, so here are my favorites from your list - Red, Vanilla, Hot, Day, Coffee, Mom, Pencil, Pants, Tomorrow (always hoping it will be better than yesterday), Boys, Mustard, Dogs (I like cats too though). We have very similar favs! As for getting to sleep, I have a clock/sound machine that helps sometimes. I like listening to the crash of waves, that helps me fall asleep. It has about 5 or 6 different ones, but I like the waves the best. Maybe an expensive sound machine or even an app on your phone? You can set the timer so it won't run all night. Either one of those might help. Glad you had a decent day today. Have a good visit at the chiropractor. I'm envious of your 75 degrees, it will be in the mid-80s here at the beach tomorrow and the weekend, humidity will drop a little Saturday, but it will be back in the 70s by Monday. I've always said, I don't mind the heat, it's the humidity that kills me! Ugh! Thanks for sharing another journal evening with us. Just keep remembering you're not alone, we are all with you in spirit each day. Have a great night! 🌛

That’s good that you meeting people and walking! I been trying to walk more … my problem is I have a bad knee …. I do not want surgery … bionic knee … no! So it limits me but I have a two bedroom apartment … in a nice area … and I just walk one room to another 1 to 2 to 3 times a day! I went to doctor today and lost 4 lbs! I was shocked! 🙏🏻🙏🏻❤️❤️🇺🇸🇺🇸

Yes … my Bestie in Missouri (been friends since she was 14 and I was 15) says her daughter says … Motions is Lotion! 😂 That’s what I say as I move … Motion is Lotion to your joints! I stay up at night reading … to get sleepy … sometimes it works sometimes it doesn’t … sometimes I go to bed when the Birdies wake up! Lol This mostly happened after I lost my husband … I would go in my living room to read … then I’d hear them talking to each other … so funny! I’d say well you’re up … I’m going to bed and shut my bedroom door 🚪 so I wouldn’t hear them! 😂 Anyway … I saw you had posted and always try to catch you when your first post comes out … sometimes I am late! Yes!!! I was doing deliveries in Newport today and stopped by the po Box, i was so surprised!!! How could they come so fast!!! Made my day. I love big fluffy dogs ! And yep 2 of my dogs were over weight as well and we would hear it from the vet ! We ended up switching vets, and because we feed our dogs real food , the new vet told me exactly what to do, and you won't starve the dogs ! By a big bag of frozen beans. Take out some of the carbs I put in their food . I fed him about half what I normally feed them, and then at the bottom was frozen green beans about a good handful . Both my dogs lost a little over 10 pounds in a month and they love love frozen green beans . In the summer I put frozen broccoli and frozen carrots in . I used whole carrots and cut them in half before freezing the carrots. I give those as treats ! They also get the vitamins they need and it's fun for them to chew on ! Just something to think about ! He is such a good pup and I loved cuddling with my lab who had hair like yours ! They think he had spaniel in him !

That's a good idea, thank you! And yes, we all do the best we can for our dogs. I feed him less than what the bag says lol mainly to save on the money cause his food is a little more expensive. It's the exercise thing for us. The bugs, ticks are so bad! I mean, i don't even want to go out!!! And the heat and humidity. We went out much more in winter!

Well this is so wild! As I was watching this video I was wondering how old Kody is and boom! You started talking about it. It’s had to maintain their weight. Mine too! 🤣 I have a Jack Russell, Chihuahua mix he’s 14 yrs old. Born into our family and a Shepard mix who will be 3 yrs old in July. These two fur babies have become my best friends since my husband passed away in January. I think Kody looks good. You both need each other for sure. That’s great you are talk little walks with Kody. It adds up!! I just read for me I should start out 15 minutes one way and walk back. If you do this 5 days a week it’s 2.5 miles, 10 miles a month.

I feed my Lab Gracie Chicken Soup For The Soul Beef. I believe she has a chicken intolerance and was getting dry skin which she scratched a lot! They have a weight control kibble that i rotated one bag in and then rotated out and she did well with it. After her spay she gained a few and lost her curve. She is doing good at 67 #s. I think Cody looks great! He is a big breeed

Yes, and all the dogs I've had, never gave been skinny lol. But, they have lived to usually 12. Which is the average age range for bigger breed dogs like labs and Goldens.
