I don't know about you, but the parks in my home country kind of suck. That's why I love the parks in China. They're clean, beautiful, and full of people having a good time.
What are the parks like in your country?
Parks in China also have exercise equipment, normally full of old people dancing, people singing karaoke. It's a hell of a good time.
What do you think of Chinese parks?

In the center of Bellevue, Seattle WA, sits a tiny park. It took only 10 min to walk around it. It was crowded with kids and dogs last Sunday when I visited, made me really miss the huge parks in China. The area around the space needle in Seattle looks quite dilapidated, not comparable to tourist spots in China. China now has the best public parks and plazas in the world.

Yes but you also have massive national parks like Yellowstone which isn’t manufactured and completely natural. You have mountains, deserts, the tropics of Florida, the beautiful beaches in California, America has loads too offer. This just another man made park in a big Chinese city, go out too the rural areas and see how the Chinese live there and if they have any lovely parks?
@Is_it_rwanda
@Is_it_rwanda Жыл бұрын
@@matty6848 you can easily go out into wilderness nearly anywhere in the world, in fact the majority of the earth is made up of it. America doesn't have a monopoly on beautiful landscapes, and it's pathetic if wilderness is all that's on offer. What good is an out-of-state destination that's so far away, expensive, and inconvenient to access that you have to save up and take time off work to see it? These massive national parks are as accessible as an international vacation and underfunded. Even the "local" sites will rob you with parking and admissions.

Relatively speaking there are more parks and public spaces in China than the western countries because it is a country built on community. Everything owned by the people will be adequately looked after. I also notice this once Hong Kong was returned back to China.

Yes, very picturesque! There is no discarding - disposal of trash in China compared to what you can see virtually everywhere here in the U.S. My experience in China a decade ago remains in my mind and makes we want to return. No areas in China have I been where worry covers you like a blanket as we not uncommonly encounter here in the U.S.

The one feature which seems to be the centrepiece of most parks is a water feature such as a lake. Living here in Binyang, we are a long way from water, but we also have a large park with the centrepiece being a man made lake. It is extremely busy at night, as people walk around it in the evenings, particularly when the weather is warm.

More people in China, hence, more Park Usage is true, an economy of scale. But ... the general China population density is 153 persons / km2. compared to the UK of 281person / km2. Nationally, more people per km2 in UK than in China. but its so general sweeping, lets looks at city levels. London: 5701 person / km2 vs. Beijing: 1134 persons / km2. Far more people in London than in Beijing. Shenzhen population density: 8600 persons / km2 which is more than London. In Shanghai, there are 3830 persons / km2. which is less than London. Regardless the population density is dense or light, Chinese people seemingly love parks more than the Brits. Is it because of the UK weather is so bleak or the parks are poor designed/maintained/safety or it's just a cultural difference, since Oriental people more likely emphasis on Collective Value (sense of community belonging, gregarious) while Individualism (independence, personal vanity, privacy) is more prevalent in the West

I mean the UK is kind of a bad example because anything after 5PM that isn't booze is going to shut (not parks but you know what I mean) and if you want to do anything other than drink you're apparently crazy, that'd decrease safety but the main issue is cultural (considering you can go *north* and find more people of all ages using public spaces well into the night on week days).

Parks r use for exercise & relaxation, playing games plus a place to get fresh air in the morning & evening for all ages. In UK, there r used y youngster to be hanky manky at night, occasionally if u dig jab a stick, many a time one can find bra, panties & even sometime someone screaming & jump of the bushes half naked or even nake from being jab with stick.

Parks in China? Cities and countries in the west have had parks for hundreds of years like the skyscrapers the shills bang on about in China being built, America was building skyscrapers 70/80 years ago.. how about driving out of the big cities a few hundred miles and see if they have any parks there? I live in the U.K. and we have lovely parks by me, no homeless, no violence, just a few teenagers hanging around skateboarding and families enjoying the space.
