What you said about the public safety in China is very interesting. Western media and governments have been condemning China for the prevalence of surveillance cameras, accusing the Chinese government of violation of human rights and using them as the means of totalitarian oppression and control. Meanwhile, response from the Chinese citizens and foreigners living in China has largely been that they have no issue with the supposed loss of privacy. In fact, the response has generally been that they love those cameras because they make the whole place very safe, as you said.

If you r afraid of the government watching you on the streets, then u probably should stay at home 24/7, bc PEOPLE r watching you if you go outside. The government isnt watching u when you r at home having an orgy with your neighbor's dog. I mean, why the west is so freak out of security cameras, when cars, homes, like literally, there r security cameras everywhere.

In facts, if you have 1.4 billions people to rule. You will not give a damn to what them do in everyday. Technically, it is just impossible to spy such a population. the CCTV , in most of the time, are on the track of criminals.

The west misuse the data they gather. Not just for legitimate surveillance. We saw that with many western companies and their governments. That's a fact. So it's natural they would think that China would do the same. They are wrong. China is clear that surveillance data is for surveillance, and only used for criminal and terrorism investigation.

Oh man. My friend and I went to China for some travels in 2018 (Guiling, Zhangjiajie, Suzhou, Hangzhou and a bit of Shanghai) and we have been dying to go back for some more but due to Covid it's obviously not happening. Anyways, whenever she asks me "where do you wanna go after Covid's over" I'm like "China, for sure." The infrastructure is just so good. When we traveled around US we realized for some reason their cross state trains are slower than car travels (and we weren't keen on driving ourselves in a foreign place) so...after eating away our shock, we had to take planes.

Thailand is also building HSR to connect from Laos to Malaysia and Singapore. If a 3rd world country like Indonesia can have HSR, why can’t the first world nations like Australia, Canada and the USA? You will have different scenery in different seasons in the same place in China. Ancient poets would write poems on the same lake because of different seasons, because they felt different feelings. Heilongjiang in winter is different from Heilongjiang in summer, and so on. The most amazing thing is that when you visit some landscapes, you will learn about some different histories. Because of China's long history, everything becomes interesting.

Yes, human beings can look great when they are all civilized and controllable. And even better when uncontrollable and unprofitable people are removed. Please help anyone, Allow more of anyone to come into your home land to live.

There's a lot of reasons why I love living in the USA. There's different people I can meet in the USA. There's a lot of different languages and cultures in the USA. And also the mainland USA is about as big as mainland China in land mass.

immigrants are all assimiliated, they bare no resemblance to the ppl of their country of origin, they are all whitewashed. America takes in ppl from all over the world just to turn them into another white man. Even african americans are more like white americans than Africans. The difference is just skin deep.

Interesting enough but what about Taobao. I thought Taobao should be on the list since you can buy almost everything super-cheap in China. I am surprised Power Banks are on the list. Anyway, I look forward to watching a list of 10 things you do NOT like living in China. Thank you so much for sharing your video which is always fun to watch. Happy New Year !!!

Come on man, you can not be serious. 1 - almost everywhere in europe you have same cell coverage in metros, i have no idea what you are talking about. London is rather an exception than a rule and it is also coming soon. 2 - take aways are fact, i give you that. But once again, this is also becoming relatively normal everywhere - although not at that level as in china, at least in those first tier cities. 3 - safety, that is relatively true, there are many reasons for that, but yes, generally speaking big chinese cities are safer for a normal person than big western cities. 4 - size, yes that is true. But i dont know about UK, but as a mainland european you can travel all around europe the same way and the differences are even more diverse than in china. 5 - i guess it comes to the situation country by country. Where i live (small city in eastern europe mind you) you can basically pay anywhere with your phone the same way. Renting bikes is also done trough QR codes, pretty much every shop, restaurant has a terminal where you can pay with NFC, and now even with QR codes more often. 6 - Every country has shopping malls, i am pretty sure there are some in london too :) 7 - its a point of view. One can say that china has managed the beginning very well, another can say that more relaxed approach in the west lead to a situation where now lives goes on as if covid never existed. You dont have to wear masks even indoors, there are pretty much no restrictions going on, there are festivals, people travelling, etc... on one hand there is a price that has been paid for this, and on the other hand, covid is basically "behind us", unlike in china. Both approaches obviously has some pros and cons. 8 - Come one, it is the same thing as 6. Yes, china has some culture and history so have other countries. Uk also has some culture, i would completely understand this coming from an american, but british? It is kinda strange. 9 - i dont know what this even mean, maybe you are right about this one 10 - Again the same as 8. Yes, china has pretty good public transport, but coming this from british is kinda strange, i would understand this fascination coming from an american. But i give you this one, but i dont understand this part about seats, cant you buy a seat in UK? In majority of europe it works like this - you can but dont have to buy a specific seat reservation. In china you have to (because it is a different system). So dont you have this option in uk? Or pretty much anywhere in the world where there is a more functional train infrastructure?

1- as you said, London is an EXCEPTION, it’s still not accomplished yet, so why can’t he appreciate good mobile signals from other country? He’s speaking from the UK’s point of view. 2- not just tier one, 95% of restaurants provide takeaway in ALL China’s cities, it’s all operate on an app called MeiTuan. 4- China is ONE country, Europe has 44 countries according to UN, so China is huge in size there’s no doubt. So to be able to travel freely in a massive country is nice. Like you said, he’s speaking as someone from UK, not Europe mainlander. 5- he’s talking about the difference between his experience in UK and China, if you can be able to do that in your city that’s great, he’s not trying to convey that China is the only place on earth have this kind of service. 6- of course every country has shopping malls, the thing is he’s talking about how MANY shopping malls there are so that it is really convenient, and the diversity of these shopping malls. Mind you he lives in Shanghai, there’s roughly 150 big shopping malls, so he’s point is valid. 7. You can say it’s “behind you”, but the truth is in UK, USA, etc. there’s hundreds of thousands people getting Covid, whereas in China, there’s covid zero policy, means no one has Covid for a long long time now, occasionally there’s maybe 2 or 3 people still getting Covid. But I agree with you, pros and cons. 8. China is the world's oldest continuous civilization, one of the four oldest civilizations in human history but China is the only one alive till today. China has 5000 years of history and culture and 3500 years of written history. While we all know Europe has huge amount of rich history and culture itself, but comparing to China, Europe is quite younger. Second, why can’t he appreciate other country or continents’ history and culture? I see no wrong in his opinion. 10- he’s probably talking about it’s basically close to free to use public transportation in China, from metro to bus services in cities, they take you to anywhere it charge you for absolutely almost nothing. In UK, the price are generally ten times higher. Public transportation is one of the public welfare in China. Also, he talked about high speed rail. China’s high speed rail is the fastest, most extensively used, and the longest with the total length of 40,000km(25000mil) in the world. UK has only 108km (67mil) long high speed, at the top speeds 200km/h. While China’s high speed rail all running at the speed at roughly 300km/h with the peak speed of 350km/h. That is, I see why he like China’s public transportation.
Why i wont leave China
