Just go for swans. My current style is just swans, penguins, monkeys and giraffes, works almost every time. Though, learning to adapt to what you're given is the point, swans give enough coins to counter that.

I love how in some games, you can strategize to your hearts content only to get rekt by going up against a rock to your scissors. (i.e. Scorpion beats Hippo, Hippo beats Deer, Deer beats Scorpion) Then in other games, the RNG actively seems to be trying to screw you over and you just throw whatever together hoping to make a couple wins before inevitably succumbing... only for the stars to align and your ragtag bunch of misfits going on a hot streak against all odds.

I know this game inside out but I can definitely see how it’s confusing. Strategy games like this where every unit has a unique effect don’t benefit well from this highlights reel video type, but it’s a very good game. If you want to learn I would recommend watching Northernlion’s videos on it, he basically only uploads uncut vods so watching from the beginning is a great way to learn the game with him.

You can optimize the fish by making lvl 2 fish 2nd lvl 2 fish and them putting them together. By giving up some space and rng you can trigger 3 lvl ups. Big Fish with Big Gains
