Glad your daughter did not get hurt bumping the rock, never fun to fix things but at least it did not sound like anyone was injured. Driving along and hitting a big rock or a down log with the offroad truck was to common when young, not fun to suddenly stop when not expected. Great explanation on the sprayer Nick, thanks. Hope you all stay safe and healthy.

Thanks for another great video Welkers. Lots of good content on this one. Lots of projects. Bob you did a great job fixing the oil pan on your daughter’s car. Good going on the oil pan. All of you sure have great talents at fixing things. Nice work Bob. Nick I love the new technology you put on the sprayer. Appreciate you explaining it to us. Makes running the sprayer a lot easier. Nice new Raven system. Great. Putting equipment away for the winter is a must. Keeps it out of the weather. Weather plays hard on equipment that sits out in the open. Glad you have those nice big sheds. Thanks for everything. Appreciate all of you Welkers. Take care. The Iowa farm boy. Steve.

Three things, number one high grew up with third and fourth fifth hand equipment on a little dairy farm in Minnesota. My dad did buy a new combine in 1952, PT 60 Massey Harris, a brand new all over 7 foot Syckelmoore about 1958, a brand, new 314’s Oliver, plow, and brand new new Holland, 268 baler, in the late 50s in the last 10 years that my dad farmed from 1958 to 1968, he did not make enough money to even pay income tax

We need our farmers. I live in Northern Maine and am surrounded by potato fields mostly some broccoli and those are just the biggest crops I'm aware of. But we also have a lot of Amish and small family farms everywhere. No problem finding fresh produce around. Without our farmers I wouldn't want to imagine what the world would be like.

Isn’t 12-15 just a tad too fast (depending on your target weed and whether it’s in fallow or crop)? It just seems like the plant coverage would be more accurate covering the ground slower. Maybe I’m way off base?
@danielseelye600514 сағат бұрын
It's it was an older system, that would be understandable. The big thing about this is it has eyes to look ahead and see what needs to be sprayed and a computer that can crunch the numbers quick enough to fire the nozzles at the right time for the product to be put on properly. If he's got winds, it can mess it up and necessitate slowing down but this allows higher speeds with more accuracy. As the old saying goes: "It's not how fast you mow, it's how well you mow fast." For this: "It's not how fast you spray, it's how well you spray fast."

@peterfalconer-h3k8 сағат бұрын
@@leddielive Millennial Farmer isn't someone l follow though l'm well aware of his channel. I farm in Australia so low rainfall farmers are what l'm interested in and Welker Farms definitely fit into that category. What l see as nothing more than outright advertising just gets skipped over, constant praise of the AF 11 and 8250 combines are a good example. Saying their 8230s wouldn't do what the 8250 would do is ridiculous, they're the same machine in terms of capacity and it just makes them look incompetent, all that would have been required is some maintenance on the cutter bar.
