Tom's Flash is a different, modernized take on the character. If years ago a school bully has been portrayed as a tough and muscular gym guy, modern bullies are mostly rich spoiled kids who treat others like crap

May be, but not quite, believe me today there are still bullies who are popular high school jocks and aren't really rich, like the classic Flash Thompson.
@almas46633 жыл бұрын
@@Ninox32tgretwh But still, a concept of the word "bully" has mostly changed throughout the years, just like the word "nerd" changed from an offensive stereotypical book-worm to more of a mainstream geek that is obsessed with pop culture. That's why Peter's personality has also changed. He's not only an awkward teen now, but a geek as well. He knows many references to pop-cultural films, he likes lego Star Wars, he's the one who brings up "Footloose" in Infinity War. Sure, just like with bully, the old meaning of the word "nerd" did not disappear entirely, but became much less relevant to modern kids

I'm honestly surprised to hear there are people who dislike Tom Holland as Spider-man! Sure, he's bit more immature and uncertain at times, but that's just because we're witnessing him at the very beginning of his character journey. He hasn't even graduated high school yet! (something that happened midway through the very first Tobey Maguire film). Given where Peter's at in life, I think Tom's portrayal is really charming, believable, and pretty much perfect.

Ultimate Comics Peter yes, but not mainline Peter. 616 Peter was a lot more College-focused. A lot more confident and sure of himself. Which to be honest, no movie has nailed. Tobey was already too dorky, they based him off of Clark Kent in the Superman films more than 616 Peter. I'll never understand how people don't like the Voltron as a villain. Everyone just wants a villain that craves to rule the world and destroys entire cities in the process but we have enough Avengers threats for that. Peter is still at the beginning in Homecoming, why would he have such a big threat to fight on his own? And besides, having a simple criminal that is involved with somebody he's close to is perfect for Spider-Man. He's just saving the neighborhood, not the world. And as I said, this Peter is a literal child with basically no experience.

When Cap said you waited for something so disappointing, he was referring to how he got stuck in ice and woke up 70 years later to now.
@user-jt1js5mr3f3 жыл бұрын
Mostly referring to the audience waiting for the post credit scene.

It was actually just about the audience build up for the post credits scene my dude

Mac Gargan, the guy in the prison scene at the end, is the Spider-Man villain the Scorpion. Might show up in the next Spidey movie as part of the Sinister Six?

My favorite thing about this version of Spiderman is that no one is conveniently stupid about Peter Parker's real identity. The fact that Peter sucks at hiding his identity is actually a plot point instead of just a "Yeah, let's just say no one's wondering why Peter has the same voice as Spiderman, take pictures of him and always disappears".

I can’t wait to see your reaction, I loved this film!

I really like that you know everything about pop culture, you recognize everyone and you make connections with previous movies the actors were in, like Michael Keaton being in Birdman and here playing a bird-like enemy... it’s so satisfying 👏🏼😍

Karen (Spiderman's own Jarvis) is actually Paul Bettany's (The Vision) wife voicing her which is really cool

18:30 fun fact: his nephew is MILES MORALES. Aaron Davis is the brother of Jefferson Davis, Miles' father.

Once again Tony keeps creating villains - Vulture, Ultron, Vanko, Killian. The list goes on...
@jennybe47663 жыл бұрын
I disagree with some of them. Ultron was not alone his fault, it was also Wanda and Bruce's fault. Vanko was his father's fault.

Great thing about Vulture's suit (this version atleast) is that it's HUGE. It actually looks like something that could fly, dude basically has a plane on his back.

Just found your videos and have to say it's obvious how much you love movies. It shines through! This movie is great. Tom Holland makes a great Spidey...a cute one too. A fun watch. Good work 👍. Oh and I agree Lego is awesome 😆

I actually love the fact that Flash isn't just a physical bully in this. Most of the time it's more common to get verbally abused as a student. And bullying is bad either way so i truly love the fact that marvel went with that direction.

Not only is Tom Holland my favourite Spider-Man, but I think his suit is probably my favourite version too tbh: - the colours are so much brighter/ more vibrant (especially compared to the previous versions) - the adjustable eyeslits look so much better than the goggles (or whatever they're called) that Tobey & Andrew had - the web design is so much more subtle (the black webs on Tobey & Andrew's suits were too bulky & distracting imo tbh).

the adjustable eyeslits are the best part, so glad they did that cuz Spidey's eyes in the mask in comics move randomly but here it's explained

Even though it is obvious, the shot where vulture was in front of the moon was a direct reference to Batman as Michael Keaton played Batman in the 1980s

The TimeStamp is actually wrong, and Kevin Feige has admitted it. It’s supposed to say 4 years later, not 8. I was always disappointed it was never fixed for the home release.

Childish Gambino plays Miles Morales' uncle, Aaron Davis, who is a mercenary/villain named The Prowler (in the Ultimate Spider-Man comics). Miles Morales ends up becoming Spider-Man after he watches Pete die fighting against all of his villains in Aunt May's front lawn (they show up at Aunt May's house to kill her).

I love the way they redesigned the Vulture for the movie. The comic version is a total campy joke, just a guy with goofy bird wings for no reason. In this it makes sense how and why he has the wingsuit, and why he's called the Vulture. And Keaton's performance, chef kiss.
