When i got rejected almost a year ago, i started to self improve, but in a toxic way (at the time i was brainwashed by Hamza). These first few months of self improvement were good for me, but also bad in a way. On one hand, it helped me heal from not just my crush, but also the feelings of loneliness and insecurities i used to have for quite a while. On the other hand, i was trying too hard to escape myself, and it ended up almost costing my relationships. The verdict for you, is that self improvement can be really helpful to deal with a rejection or breakup, but remember to not scold yourself for that rejection.
