Thank you for telling your story. My cousin has autism and is in a similar situation, he is 27 and lives at home but has a small part time job at the car wash and it takes a lot for him to do that job. I can't imagine him getting wrapped up with a scammer online. It boils my blood to hear these scum scammers did this to this guy. I wish pain and suffering on the scammers who did this to him. This story shows you how gutless and demonic scammers really are.

Please keep in mind, this person is a victim of a crime. He truly was a very innocent victim that scammers took advantage of. If you have anything hateful or nasty to say about the victim, you simply don't belong here and should take a good look at yourself. Any nasty comments about the victim will be removed. We have enough hate in the world without heartless people adding more to it. Thanks.

True. The haters and scammers will always be there. And post comments. We just have to ignore them. But , like you said sometimes we just speak up ........ The haters are almost as bad as the scammers. People , have compassion , it can be you who fall for this ..... The young man is brave to tell his awful experience. I would like him to know he helped many. Kudos.

I think ( for the most part) it’s abt education. For the longest time I could not wrap my head around the victims pov. I had to watch a lot of videos to understand that these people are already deeply ashamed n hurting so deep to the point of suicide for some. So adding insults do not help. It’s like adding salt to the wound. They are brave enough to share their stories to warn others. And to relieve the pain cannot be easy. Now when I listen it’s with compassion n understanding. Who knows I may save someone else or even myself from falling prey frm what I’ve learned here. Many times we do things we said we would never do. U guys are doing a good work here. Keep it up.

Do yourself a favor , don't cuss the scammers out and tell them what they did wrong. Just go, block , report. Don't make them angry. The are expert hackers. Most times new accounts on POF will be allowed to stay up for a limited number of days and then POF asks for verification, most times you holding a sign with your user name and taking a pic or ID.... generally happens to IP addresses who make many accounts. Which could be why they vanish quickly

I started watching these scam videos after 3 recent scammer attempts on me. The military scammer stationed in Syria and model living in Queens wanted me to send them google play gift cards. I said google play is free! Hell no! And blocked them. Then the pilot just asked me to accept some gifts she was going to mail me. I said no I don’t want them. She/he got mad as hell and went from how much they love me to I’m a stupid poor idiot. I said thank you and blocked them. Be careful and never ever ever send money to a person you’ve never met! And those packages that get held up in customs and cost you thousands in the end are also scams. Don’t fall for it.

It's also to make sure that you've actually bought a new card. Many people who play with scammers will give them cards they find online that are already spent.
@dianachin48493 жыл бұрын
Another way to play with scammers is to egg them on until the very end. For instance, if you're being pressured into sending money, just ask for the address, say "I have the address. I will send the money right away." Then block and report them

Most of these scammers don't even know how to scam! They talk dirty right away which is a dead giveaway. They can't even answer simple questions like what their name is, like they are an automated messenger. Their spelling is bad like they are struggling with their English. A lot of them immediately leave their number. Their page mysteriously disappear after two or three messages into the conversation.

This is going to sound a bit strange but hear me out. If you’re an above average person looks wise you are still highly likely to get scammed. It’s not just old folk etc. The reason why is you’ve been told by everyone most of your life that you’re beautiful, stunning blah blah so when the online people say it so quickly it doesn’t flatter you or raise alarm bells because you’ve heard it all before. They will also play the long game working you for months or even years to get something from you. Bottom line is it can happen to anyone so don’t let it happen to you.
