I thought I had made too many wrong choices. I thought I was too old. I thought "that dream life" wasn't obtainable for me. Then I found Tim! I've started dreaming again and working towards the life "they" say isn't obtainable. Tim, Thank you for being a beautiful inspiration to me and so many others.

Congratulations and goo riddance! My ex wife wasn't happy with a newly remodeled condo in a decent area and a new Honda. She wanted a $2300/month apartment in downtown Denver and a sports car. She wanted to go to London and Sydney and Dubai. I wanted to move to the country and go to the Amazon rainforest on vacation. It took me years to finally divorce her and it was hard at first but I spent 3 months travelling America camping and hiking and living in an old beat up pickup truck... I was MUCH happier in the truck, shitting in the woods than I was with her in a posh hotel in Sydney. And you'll be happier soon, too. You're young. Try some shit out, do some cool shit and go see cool places. I'm going to Mexico for a month with my German exchange student I had before the pandemic. We are going to the Mayan ruins and going on a food tour in Oaxaca and staying in an eco lodge in the Yucatan. It's gonna be WAY better than London. God speed! 💪

Being rich actually solves nothing. Yes, perhaps you'll use the money to pay off debt, pay off your mortgage, buy another home, go out to the bar more often, give to charity etc. However, at the end of the day, you're going to resort back to the same thinking and habits that made you miserable in the first place. Getting magically rich or a random change in circumstances is NOT going to move your life forward. Focusing on what you want in life WILL!

I've been feeling something similar to what you talked about, I've been thinking this is the meaning of life, it is to live the best life we can so that when we die we are like a memory drive, the memory drive will serve a purpose in the afterlife, that purpose is still unknown to me, but our purpose and meaning of life in this earth is to fill our memory drive with good things, in preparation for the afterlife

Oh yes, another naive dreamer (and bookworm) here! I have tried many goals in my life, some I could fulfill, others stopped halfway, others just before the finish line. It has taken many hours of regret and self-reproach and some occasional blaming of others/circumstances, to come to the core of it: my unusual constant search is for *peace of mind*. My insight is, that whatever interesting, beautiful, worthy things others strive for, an inner sense of peace is both what I want, and need, to function well and be happy with my life and to accept myself as I am. Stay lively, resurceful, actionable, free Dreamers, Tim, and all of you! We are crossing borders and limits, in our way, and one never knows what we are useful for! 🙂 It sure will show!

People often choose the easy wrong choices in their lifes just to comfort their downward spiraling, and downward they keep going. They don't want to accept that they are cowards and lazy to do hard choices of their life that uplift their own lifes. It's their own doing. Then when somebody, like you choose to do hard choices but align with your true need. All those cowards come spamming you with 'naive' words. No , you are not naive. You are brave to know your own consequences of every choices you make, then still choose to do it.

Thanks!! I started the Journey you're describing here a year ago. Turning 35 this month. Never really had anything, never really wanted anything. It's been hard to start understanding that there are things out there for *Me* to strive towards, to dream about, to hope for, to love and truly enjoy. The year has been difficult, but during dark times I remind myself that it will be worth it in the end, even if right now I don't even have an idea what *it* will end up being, it will be what *I* am meant for. ❤❤

Timothy's philosophy is not a philosophy of deep inner despair of ignoring reality as many may think. His philosophy seems to be how you deal with existing in a world that is in itself in a state of despair and how to overcome it with honest hard work and not be a part of any of that world that's in a perpetual state of despair. Bite down like a stubborn mad bulldog and don't give up on your self. Give up/let go of that negative world around you instead.

I've noticed in life that you naturally move towards those things that feel good for you. For example I enjoy travels (international) so rather then having a traditional job that only allows me to take off short "vacations" I work various jobs so I can travel for much longer durations. The trade off is that I make considerably less money but I don't have the desire to own a home filled with tons of stuff and cars. Most people trade their livelihood for money hoping it will buy them more time (which is partially true) but I focus on how much time can I get back without working as hard. I think if we were able to escape the mindset of work-->buy more-->> work more we would all have more time to do the things that we actually wanna do. Don't ever trade your time for excess of things you can never buy time back. IN short live as simple as you can within your means (including family) and buy time rather then things.

I 100% agree with you! I was in a not so great situation several years back and decided to go live in my car, did it for about eight months and it was very life-changing. I went back to try to live a “normal life” and things just didn’t feel the same. So now I’m going back out on the road, this time with a converted SUV. It wasn’t always easy, but if you can try and move past the obstacles, even if you don’t get there, you’ll get somewhere different than what you thought you could. So I am totally with you on that ! By the way, where are you? Where is that gorgeous walk in the background? Would love to add that to my bucket list. 😄😜

The most important thing in my life is a personal relationship with God through Jesus Christ . I was 32 y.o. at the time and living in Greensboro NC. Iam still working as a carpenter and now single at 67y.o. 😊

Tim what a great message! Yea why can’t we all live our dreams. I think your right we can! The message is so simple believe that you can and you will. Yet so very hard to put into practice. Thanks for the reminder to pursue our dreams. We all deserve it.

I'm battling with chrnoic pain right now, stuck in a stupid cycle of working to make sure I can afford physical therapy. Once I get my health under control I just want to drop it all, go out into the world with what I got and see what it has to offer me.
