I totally understand "being desensitized" to situations that might make other people cringe. I'm a retired surgical tech and the first couple times I was actually in the OR I was absolutely shocked at the conversation! Doctors performing open heart surgery while they're jamming AC/DC and talking about last weekend's ski trip or next week's yacht vacation. I just kept thinking, "shouldn't we kind of pay attention to what we're doing here guys?". But, these were professionals who had been doing these procedures for years and probably could literally have done them with their eyes closed. Obviously, when things got hairy or went a little sideways their attention immediately snapped back to where it should be but for the most part, the conversation usually had nothing to do with the actual procedures we were doing, other than the first few minutes while we were setting up and getting started. Once the incisions were made, the conversation would turn to anything except what was actually happening in the room.

If you want another channel who delivers these types of stories (not to discredit this channel by the way) I'd recommend checking out Mr Balling. Or at least I think that's it's pronunciation and spelling. He delivers how does he put it... 'the strange, dark, mysterious in story format'. And more so during the stories he is serious and respectful. He won't make jokes about things in the recounting. But just a recommendation

I've seen stairs in the woods a few times. Never once any upside-down. It is wild to hear of them in a somewhat fictional story. Though some of these stories do reflect quite a few unsolved cases. Particularly in the Oregon, Washington & Montana areas. As far as the stairs go I have not tried to climb them or do anything more then take a few pictures. I'm almost glad I didn't.

My wife was born and raised in Oregon and use to be an avid hunter/hiker and general outdoors person. She has mentioned some of the weird things she has seen out in the woods in Southern Oregon, Washington & northern California. In Oregon inparticular she has come across stairs in the middle of nowhere with no trails or water nearby and no sign like a foundation of some long ago dwelling. Oddly enough when returning to area months later, stairs are gone. My wife has also seen (during winter with fresh snow on ground) a bipedal creature with hair like a bear and a strange face like Neanderthal features, very long arms and stood up from a crouching position and was well over 6' tall.

I love Creepypasta narrations, and other than the great, "Dr. Creepen" as "Tommy Taffy", I have never been so terrified, moved, saddened, and utterly thought-provoked, than listening to this compilation. I was listening while I slept. The auto-play was on, so I awoke to literal chills throughout my body as my mind conscious mind began to comprehend what my subconscious mind had been toying with during my slumber. Holy crap!!! I couldn't fall back to sleep as the narration continued to cause my body to be glued to my bed in a state of fear and strange morbid curiosity. I listened again twice the next day. Whew! I also love how the stories ramped up. They became increasingly more disturbing as they slowly tied together...Tiny little tendrils of menace that threaded themselves deeper into each story. (*Shudder*) F the woods for now, Dude.

This is it, man. This is your style. Your bread and butter. For your stories to be truly immersive, which is clearly how they’re written to be, you gotta stay off screen. Obviously there’s nothing wrong with putting in a minute or two of Face Time in the beginning of the video, but once the story starts, don’t let anything take the listeners out it. You’re doing great work. Keep it going!!!

There are often stairs to nowhere in the forest near the Appellation trail. If you look on the ground around them you will usually find either bricks or cut stones. When they formed the trail and associated park, there were people who lived there. Under Eminent Domain, the government bought their land at lower than market value and demolished their houses. Front steps are usually very strong and often not worth breaking apart so they are still there to mark the remains of a former home.

His stories flow really nicely as if he's speaking off the top of his head-which he may be. Pleasing voice to listen to. These are fantastic stories and your voice is actually perfect. Thank you for sharing and all the work which clearly went into this. Regarding the staircase, I think you mean to say the officer was told "emphatically" to avoid it, not "empathetically". Otherwise, it would mean the officer was experiencing over the staircase some sort of emotion to which his boss could relate, which obviously is not the case. Thanks again!

This comment is directed towards the host of this channel, Lighthouse Horror. Before I get to the issues, I just would like to say your videos are very soothing to listen to. The way you put emotion into the story itself as you narrate, makes the listener engaged immensely. I enjoy them quite a bit, it calms me down during stressful days. Bet you'd kill at around a camp fire. Anywho, I've noticed that as I'm listening I like to put the captions on. Well the caption in this video doesn't match what you're saying. Maybe that can be fixed? 🤔🤔 Thank you for bringing skin-tingling adventures! Keep up the good work!! 😁

When I hear stories of people with "no face" I think of the plausibility of people saying that when they mean that the face is severely disfigured and missing features. For example Raymond Robinson is a man who had his face severely disfigured by an electrical line and would take walks at night. A lot of myths come from exaggerated recounts of real things. You see some weird looking animal and when you talk about it, you can't help to exaggerate how crazy that thing was. So when I hear these stories, I think of a more likely alernative that still closely fits the description. Obviously a blind person wouldn't be hiking and interacting with people on a clifff.

I would say you're about the most professional chronicaller I've listened to. The fact that you are speaking S A R instead of pronouncing it like a word, is enjoyable to listen to. I'm a retired physician assistant and one of my pet peaves is of people pronouncing acronyms line MuRSA instead of saying it as an acronym M R S A. Especially non-medical people trying to sound professional. Its less peaving if its someone in the profession, but still an irritant. Clearly, it's a little anal-retentive of me, but language and structure is so essential to professional communication regardless of the profession. Its especially an imperative for the chronicaller trying to convey fact rather than just an anecdote. So, thank you for your precise and professional chronical. Reg

I haven't finished this I'm still listening but so far my theory is that the staircases are portals to hell and the Fuzzy man is a demon. The tragedies are what birthed these portals. The event such as the dead infant, the family, & the mountain climber all of these incidents seem to have happened frequently meaning incidents just seem to happen a lot and due to how brutal the deaths were keep these portals to hell open. The Fuzzy Man is the primary Demon in the woods that seems to go for younger children though doesn't mind going for the elderly too. The kids going missing are possibly being taken to hell which seems to be similar to the woods. He keeps them there until hes gained their trust, then kills them in brutal ways. The old man was just a target for fun and possibly just kept him in hell which is why the body was never found. The man with no face is also a demon that came through the portals. Unlike The Fuzzy Man, The man with no face has no primary age range of victims and unlike The Fuzzy Man, the deaths are not as brutal though he always chases people while doing inhuman things whether it be replicating Mountain Lion noises or Smiling using a moth on his throat. Fear seems to be what feeds it. That's all I can think of from what I've read. edit: Okay so about the guy with half of his face missing and his squad. the guy was captured by one of the demons who caused the forest fire, Hell is usually described as a fiery place and perhaps a portal opened and caused the fire and the unit was traumatized by whichever of the demons we know of slaughtering the squad. The only known survivor of the one who were taken (the guy with the cut in half head) escaped hell and due to the fact the human constantly goes through torture in hell and I'm guessing his head was cut in half as a form of torture in hell. He got through the portal to hell (a stair case) then found the girls. Now the guy with down syndrome. I believe the little boy was either a new Demon or No Face cause No Face seems to have the ability to shape shift as with his throat opening up revealing a mouth. I believe he took him to hell and tortured him by breaking his bones and then once he was done torturing him he teleported him back to the woods thinking he would die due to hypothermia which eventually he did but not cause of hypothermia and primarily due to the injuries he suffered from while in hell which is why he died while in custody of the rescue team. Now time to continue. Edit 2: Okay so about the logging company. The hand in the tree I believe was a scare tactic by the demons so they could have the land back to continue to kill and feed off of the hikers. The Fuzzy man cant kill kids with the logging company holding land which of course, Kids aren't going to enter and No Face can't feed off of fear with to many people around idk about the Little Boy I still believe he's a form of No Face. The back flipping guy in my opinion is a new demon cause No face hasn't been shown to hop around and The Fuzzy Man feeds off of children. This new demon seems to be an agile and easily scared of demon. Now to continue. Edit 3: The Deer Demon is the Wendigo case closed and No Face makes a return and it seems he gives up a foul odor and confirmed to be able to shape shift. Guy with no face is definitely a new Demon. Edit 4: Y'all can finish it, I'm getting lazy. I hope Y'all come with some cool theories.
