Excellent talk. I'm in the beginning of a business school course-marketing is the focus. I see market inefficiency everywhere especially in government agencies including the justice system. Excellent point about transparency with bank financing. My husband's business is a successful, ongoing 35 years business and somehow he doesn't fall into the 'right' market for a small business loan. LOVE Fundwell blog ~ great service to us entrepreneurs, thank you! LOVE your name, 'Chinwe' . . .

Chinwendu, I follow what you [others Chinwes] do every now and then and your upside to market predicament. What is your business as we speak and are you taking advantage of some new and emergent properties in Nigeria Fintech, IBM Bank, to mention? Do you write and how do we gee your stuff? I mean you can't get old on me without proving your intellectual landscape among the African and African-American business elite.

small businesses should get rejected at high rates. its bc lending to them is far more risky. this isnt inefficient, this is common sense. i think TED is becoming a place where intellectuals can just spout nonsense. please define your terms. i define efficiency as profit. high profits means producing lots of value for low costs. remove state regulations and you will see more efficiency. problem solved. can i get a TED talk now?

There is no such thing as inefficient markets. There is only Government Monopolies intervening on free markets, making productivity less efficient.
