Yay you’re back! The X100V is the best for every day use. I even got myself a tiny camera crossbody bag to carry it with me everywhere. Great POV video as alway and I love the film simulation.

I'm so glad your video came up on my feed. I really enjoyed this - might be my favorite POV shooting vid. You have such a gentle honesty and lightness about you that is really engaging and disarming. I really enjoyed hearing about the neighborhood and how you felt in that space. Really great, I hope you do many more of these and wish you luck on your channel and any future endeavors!

Welcome back ! The Kodachrome 64 is one of my favourite recipes. Maybe you wanna try out the "Kodak Vision2 350D" recipe if you already haven't ? Also a great recipe for street.

Hi Deryn, thanks for your videos. A newbie question on the recipes. Mainly on the last input in any recipe is the 'exp.compensation' and I keep wondering how in practice this is done. For example, for kodachrome 64 recipe the variable listed 'Exposure Compensation: 0 to +2/3'. Could you please confirm as to what I have written below makes any sense of my understanding? My question is - while we are on the photo spot how do we use this setting? Do we dial in an ideal exposure first as per our liking (either perfect exposure, over-exposed, or under-exposed for our intended composition) and then dial in this extra setting from the recipe for exposure compensation? Hope I was clear with the question.

Hi Deryn, stumbled upon your video regarding street photography with x100v. I’m a canon shooter myself and thinking about getting one for street and day to day photography. Which one do you shoot mostly? Canon or Fuji for street? Also what do you think about focusing on the x100v?
@deryncorbett2 жыл бұрын
Hey Tom! I definitely shoot Canon the most, it’s the camera I use for work so I use it on a daily basis. For street photography I also tend to favour the Canon just because I’m much more comfortable using it. But I think the x100v gives you a completely different experience of shooting street, you’re much less noticeable - which therefore gives you more confidence. And also, straight out of camera the fuji files look fantastic. I see the Fuji as a camera for me, and the canon as a camera for work - if that makes sense? The focussing on the x100v is obviously a lot less intuitive than the R6, or even the R, but to me that’s also part of the user experience. I’ve never had a real issue with the focussing. Hope that helps in some way! 😊

Hi. What preset do you use. Very bright, less shadow.
@JustWatchingTheMadness2 жыл бұрын
Very good. One thing. Most of your images are shot around iso 100. But the recipe has Dynamic Range: DR200. If you shoot below iso 320, you will not have the effect coming with that setting. (The same goes for DR400. Here you have to use iso 640 or higher) But maybe you are aware of that already 😉Keep up and take care!

Hi! Thank you for letting me know, I actually had no idea! I’m still learning my way with a lot of these recipes so that’s really good to know. I appreciate it thank you 😊

Do you have the clarity setting on with this recipe? Is the camera on auto iso or you have that on manual as well? Thanks!
@deryncorbett2 жыл бұрын
Hey, I don’t believe I touch the clarity setting... although it’s been so long since I shot this I can’t remember! I always shoot with manual ISO, thanks 😊

Deryn enjoying your channel but just a quick question if you had to choose just one camera for street photography what would it be ?
@deryncorbett2 жыл бұрын
Thanks so much. Tough question! Hmm, if I was travelling a lot - Fujifilm X100v. But, I can’t deny how fun the Canon R6 is to use, especially when paired with either a 50mm or 85mm. ALTHOUGH I do have a POV coming soon where I use the R6 with a 35mm lens and I get some of my favourite photos I’ve ever taken! So…I guess I didn’t really answer your question very well haha, sorry!
@stevelowe76862 жыл бұрын
Thank you Well I already shoot with an R5 so maybe a 35mm would be the way to go ? I was looking at the x100 v but will wait on how you get on with 35mm lens.
