How do I subscribe to a channel multiple times? How do I make this channel trend? You have given some of the best analysis videos of the shows you have covered (EXAMPLES of others being: your Smiling Friends and Moral Orel Vids) Even though you're flashy of a channel as, say. LS Mark, I think your style of analysis is better and deserves more praise. I think the way your vids have changed the way I see these shows, some of which I grew up with (on that note i gotta see your takes on any of the seth mcfarlane shows). So I think others would benefit in a similar way.

Fashionably late to the comments, but is it me but when fans ask for a show to come back (think latest season of Futurama and S2 of Clone High) the hype dies down so much more that it just feels like show runners create a show to appease audiences more than it is to make a good and meaningful show. Like CH S2 basically turned into the parody that S1 was against. Futurama also feels like it's being brought back for the sake of being brought back (I know Meanwhile was also a cliffhanger ending for the sake of being eventually renewed but it changed so much.)
@viedogaems5 ай бұрын
Every so often I try to get back into a video game I used to play as a kid but lose interest after a week or so because it wasn't the game I was nostalgic for, but everything else about being a kid. Part of me feels like when people ask for a revival of a series, they're asking not so much for the show itself to come back but for the nostalgia to come back. So the showrunners have to either create the show in the same vein it used to be in and isolate their old fanbase by making something that feels old and out of date, or they can try to adapt the series to the modernized audience and time period but then lose so much of what made the original great in the first place. A part of it also comes down to a general fear of risk that's prevalent in so many businesses - why take a chance on a new ip when we can instead resurrect an older show, ignoring that great shows aren't just about creating the right product, but releasing it at the right time.
@reallyjusthalo5 ай бұрын
@viedogaems I'm seeing the parallels from gaming and TV now. Childhood nostalgia ---> Fans wanting the series back in some way ---> Show/Game trying to create new ideas ---> usually fails at what made them unique in the first place or doesn't create anything to risky, in turn losing an audience in some way. I've always been an advocate to try new things, I really like the new characters in CH S2 like (Candide, Confucius, Harriet, ect) as they set up more character dynamics unseen from the original run. Even think about Halo Infinite, I'm fond of the banished in the campaign while not being as fully fleshed out as the covenant was story wise. There's still room for development. I just wish creators/show runners/game studios took the due diligence and careful consideration to make games/series improve over time. A perfect example of this is the GoW games and Kratos development over the years. The timing factor is truly the ultimate make or break. You already know the Simpsons, for instance, came at a time when the typical TV family was supposed to be perfect and picturesque. It was unique, and trying to replicate it now would be impossible.

The retcon of Seymour's life and death is a net positive and improvement I feel. As well written as it is, Jurassic Bark is my pick for the worst episode of the series and the hardest to watch. That ending is too depressing and heartbreaking. Good boy deserved that change to a happy ending and life. Making Fry's choice to rest in peace more beautiful than an emotional kick to the balls with a spiked steel toed boot

I've done just that in a few of my shorter videos. The short version of why I don't do that anymore is that it's much harder to organize the ideas or to make a monthly schedule that keeps me on pace to finish by the end of whatever deadline I set for myself. But I think that if I were to start reviewing different genres or mediums in the future (such as something serialized) I would make the change again.
