My bmw 228i was totaled in a flood. Now, I have a 2014 Bmw F32 435i that is now fully straight piped and FBO running a custom flame tune.

No you wont ..i have a flame tune for the past year and it blew my turbo ..flame tune dumps raw fuel into the engine and it could lead to even a cylinder cracking .. flame tunes are nice but very bad for the car .. im actually in the process of upgrading the turbo because of the tune

What exhaust system do you have? I was looking at an Fi exhaust and am fully willing to spend the money. But this one sounds incredible too

I have a catless downpipe and I'm fully 3in straight piped meaning that I have no restriction. If a Fi exhaust will make you happy, do it. I personally never heard a n55 with a Fi exhaust so it'll be unique but I also personally don't feel like you need a lot of money to make n55s sound good. The catless downpipe was 269 from VRSF and the 3in straight piped full exhaust was around 300 from a local shop, some nice exhaust tips would be around 100 to 150. That alone would save a few grand compared to a 3000 Fi exhaust system. Or what you could do to be unique is keep your exhaust and put a switchable exhaust cut out right after the downpipe so you can be straight piped or quiet when you want to be. Whatever you think is best, I'm sure it'll sound great. If you have some money left over, definitely invest in engine modifications that'll make your car run better like a catless/catted downpipe, upgraded intercooler, and stronger charge pipe. Both have their pros and cons. In my experience, I had no problems with the n26 engine, but the n55 platform has more potential and power but with increased reliability issues. It really is up to you, 340 is the best option

Do you like to work on cars? If you do, I go with the 335i. If you’re gonna keep it stock then I’d go with 328i.

Flamees are only in sport + and dsc completely off. Sport+ for rapid and big flames while dsc completely off is single but massive flames.

Yes. I have the flame set to only shoot flames 2k rpms and above only in sports mode. In comfort, theres no flames or burbles. I can also switch maps to ots stage 2 93oct tune from bm3 which doesn't have flames.

What gas? I’m running e30-e40. Bm3 stage 2 on n55 apline tune. Full straight stainless dual to quad tips 2 1/2 Shooting decent flames but dang yours are blue. Mines red orange. 2013 535i

I have never ran e85 on my car bc I don't want to stress the hpfp too much. I only run 93 oct for the flame tune and the stage 2 93oct ots bm3 map. I have no idea why my flames are so blue lol. Maybe it's bc I have full 3in but that shouldn't make a difference. I guess the car wanted to shoot flames the same color as its paint lol

Hello, what you need when getting your car tuned is taking care of the maintenance like gaskets, oil leaks, and fluid changes first. Then you need supporting mods like an upgraded charge pipe, intercooler, and catless/catted downpipe. My experience has been great, some things broke but they were common weak points like a skinny coolant line near the front bumper and a charge pipe breaking. My turbo is still in good condition but since I'm coming up on 90k miles, I'll be looking out to upgrade my turbo to pure stage 2. You have to leverage the cons and pros, like any other car ownership, things will go out and will need replacing and money, but the smile you get when driving definitely outweighs the cons. It's just a tune. It shoot flames only in sports mode and only when letting off throttle. So I keep tapping and letting off the peddle at high rpms for continuous flames.

No, I'm just on plain 93 oct. I've never tried e30 because I heard that a lot of n55 owners' high pressure fuel pump crash on e85 mixes.

You need a catless downpipe and tune. Vrsf catless dp is around 250, bm3 is 600 and the flame tune is 200 by alpine.n55

Yes I still have the car. Everything has been running great. I got by oil lab analysis back and they said my engine is running better than normal. I am inching close to 80,000 miles and the only major expense was fixing my right DRL because the LED modules got corroded.

@@user-mq5jd5wy6p Tbh...no. You have to delete the cats and exhaust to make it sound like mine. Maybe you can do an exhaust cutoff before the muffler and resonator to get more noise. This will allow you to have the stock exhaust sound and cat back straight pipe sound with a press of a button. Also, lookup how to do a flame kit. It's like a spark plug that uses the exhaust gases to create flames out the exhaust.
