To me, Silk in the Strings is a better song than Cellar Door. And I think both are good songs. But Cellar Door doesn't vary much (I've also grown a bit tired of only-screams songs after 28 years of listening to them). Granted, I appreciate it a lot more now than I did when it first dropped. Your reaction to Too Close/Too Late made me laugh because it's pretty much how I reacted. "OOH! OH!" Favorite song off the EP. And the chorus with Mike & Josh is chef's kiss. As for it being the "title track," Courtney has said the EP is one song in six parts. So, the EP is the title track. Courtney did say Too Close/Too Late was the first song she wrote for the EP. After that, she constructed the story that tells the whole EP's narrative (in a loop which is why Ultraviolet ends the way it does since it transitions into Cellar Door). As for The Void, I don't know why so many people "worried" this was their new sound. Spiritbox is genre-fluid. It's part 5 of the song The Fear of Fear.

Thanks for watching brother. I think this is their best work yet. I joined the metal community in the late 2010s so I am a big fan of the genre fluid stuff. I would not be at all upset if this is their staple sound. I’m also a huge fan of their creativity. Courtney and Mike are insanely talented and are always writing in unique ways. Excited for the next LP!
