I'm really liking this new set up! I really like that you can use all 3 windows to get into it and that the windows are so big. I do the vintage trailer thing and we all have awnings that need to be tied down. A lot of people will use something like a coffee can filled with cement with a piece of PVC pipe in it that you stick the awning pole into, that way you don't have to worry about people tripping over your lines or not being able to get the stakes in the ground like you. They use fancier things like planters with flowers hiding the cement and other cool stuff, but obviously you aren't going to do that. They make sandbags and water filled weights you can use also. Kind of a pain to carry then around, but they are helpful. : )

You've probably already gotten it worked out already, but I've had an Xtrusion Overland rack on my F150 with a tonneau cover for a while now. It's rock solid and goes great with my cover.

That is probably my favorite tent that you have had so far. It's easy but yet roomy. Dinner looked fantastic! Sometimes easy dinners are the best dinners.

I run some Putco bed rails with their 8 inch risers that hold my RTT very secure and it works with my bed cover. They come in 4 different height riser so you could keep your tent below your roof line and give yourself a little more working room in your truck bed.

It’s not the cross bar movement it’s the attachment to the cross bar. Looking at your movement on the video that you did. The attachment was moving. Look at your video to see it. $ it’s not cheap but the old saying you get what you pay for. This setup looks like very good quality.

You can see the crossbars flex though. Ordered some Go Rhino HD bars that another viewer pointed out. Hopefully those will be more sturdy

My daughter goes to the same school as your kids I do believe. I pass you or your wife every morning it seems right at Hightower. Small world! I been contemplating joining the PTA but I’m a single dad and my daughter does competitive cheer and have very limited time to attend. I just landed on Billie Bars to fit my tonneau cover t mount if you like low profile; so far so good! My tuff stuff alpha weighs about 176 lbs, has a very slight bounce in uneven highways going about 75-80 on some parts of 75, other than that they have been solid so far

I had the same problem with my front runner rack and the tent bouncing on my 2022 250 tremor. Went with the xtrusion overland xtr3 rack and it’s been amazing. Sits on top of my retrax xr tonneau cover. My tuffstuff alpine 61 tent weighs 240 pounds
