Great to see Brent! You guys are uniquely funny together, and I love to see you break character and laugh. Every shot was lovely! And to Brent's point, without a hurricane blowing leaves off the trees, things may be even prettier next year.

Seeing in the dark... 14:28... that shot is a nice calm peaceful fall colour extravaganza. Splashes of colour to lighten to draw the eye across the image. A comment I got recently with glass like lake conditions at sunset with trees alone the shoreline and a sunset sky was that the dark trees along the shoreline looked like a mascara brush with the trees mirrored in the lake.

And yes, I agree with Brent, with him going to the east coast to see lovely Amanda...I mean who wouldn't?!😄😉 But I must say...those fall color images you took at the small creek, then at the lake...GORGEOUS! I am envious of those fall color conditions! I can surely imagine you offering fall color workshops (with Brent as photo assistant). Keep on shooting those images...you will have to publish a "Chasing Awe, Part II".

Hi All, first photo I feel we have to be careful blurring moving water, which creates a fantasy effect, in a vary dynamic sharp Forrest scene. It works but it really needs to blend in. A tilt-shift lens is my go-to lens for panos. I use a 24mmTS on a FF camera. It gives me a 100 degree angle of view equivalent to a 15mm lens but with a 61% megapixel increase and best of all no distortion. If you combine the lens rotation your resolution goes way up and the cropping options expand greatly. Absolutely love it.

When you say you return to a location to take a photo of a specific object, do you remember them from scouting, or do you keep a book of notes to remind you or use a gps a tag a spot?
