As we've seen, seeing an ID in another ID doesn't immediately guarantee it shows up(No Liu Faust or Yi Sang and no Rosespanner Don yet, but we've seen them in related IDs), but hearing about them from an ID seems to imply they'll show up eventually(Sevens Yi Sang mentions Heathcliff in one of his main screen dialogues and we didn't get Sevens Heath until near the end of S2). Likely will get Captain Ishmael or similar in a few weeks or after 1-2 Season Free banners and possibly an EGO banner.

Something interesting that the flashbacks reveal is that Ishmael used to be rather kind hearted, almost timid. She wasnt a fighter, just a deckhand. And she had short hair, thinking long hair to just be a nuisance. But after the whale swallowed the ship, Ishmael grew her hair out long, started using a Harpoon, became more commanding, stern of voice, and developed an all consuming obsession with something she had to kill... just like Ahab. Hell, not too long ago when they encountered the whale Ishmael went full Ahab in her actons and speech, to the point where people were genuinely certain that Ishmael and Ahab were the same person all along. Genuinely wild.

To me personally, i feel like theyrr telling a fiction based on real life, especially that of S.Korea. Our society is practically based on unlimited competition, where everything is permitted as long as its legal. Mostly because we had poor past, and no natural resources, nor tech before so we had to squeeze everything to strive. Aheb basically represents the older generation who had to do so. No matter the cost, goal must be achevived. Even though it required sacrifice. But problem arise when they still request the unprivillaged to sacrifice for the greater good, just so a few privillaged could acheive their goals rather than everyone elses. They give you few gold coins for compensation, but it really doesnt mean much later. If you dont go crazy like them and refuse to work, you get eaten by that white shit, just as you would be branded as a loser and ignored by the society. Ishmael represents the new generation. Those put into the grinder so only few survive, and those at the top (Ahab) telling them, 'if you think this is unfair, you should work harder to get to the top. But the trap lies there. This does not change the system. People get replaced, but not the system. Nothing changes in the end. +) Starbuck reminds me of Vietnam vets. S.K had second largest garrison in Vietnam next to the US, so President could bargin trade with the US while earning some money too.

I've noticed Waws normally tend to have abilities that buff themselves, spawn abnos(this is also common with some teths), have unavoidable damage and mandatory reading aka important gimmicks. Usually a combination of them. Most HEs are just damage and skillroll checks, Teths again are somewhat gimmick based and Zayin are Zayin I'm confident the risk levels don't indicate difficulty in limbus....for now. I mean compare it to (LoR spoilers) LoR abnos. All the alephs were strong gimmick fights and not a real difficulty spike (except NT, but it was a geb fight to be fair)

I think all, but one of the abnos added here will be annoying in railway 3. Clam's def gonna be a turn sink unless railway uses nerfed stats/resistances but I don't see why it would. That or we get an effect from an ID that just lets you carve through it after some set up.

If talking about the final boss, the Failed version gives extra dialogue, buffs Ishmael and debuffs the boss. Passed version gives more positive dialogue, buffs Ishmael and the rest of the party(to a lesser extent) then debuffs the boss. The failed version is thematically better, the passed version is mechanically better since it's a full party buff over Ishmael exclusively getting a large buff.

The nerf was more for people who don't have or don't want to run the meta IDs. I personally run story stuff with base IDs the first time around.
