1:30 just get a used trailer instead of a dumpster. Put a weatherproof outdoor wifi extender just outside your house and a outdoor bridge/router under the eaves of your shop with clear line of sight between the two and you won't have to deal with ethernet cable.
@RelyksTheG132 жыл бұрын
I think you keep the air handler down so you can say “for example” while you show one of your team members something inside the system. Especially considering it’s a high end system that Is intimidating to newer inexperienced techs. I would even include return duct work so you can use that for examples and training “static/return sizing/ filtration” a very overlooked part of our industry. We have one unit on the ground. vertical on a stand in one building with a filter back grille free drawing and a supply plenum/trunk and a horizontal in the other building with a pretty standard flex/plenum setup. We basically never touch the horizontal except for maintenance/repairs. But the vertical has seen more trainees and learning experiences then any other equipment we have in the field.
@RelyksTheG132 жыл бұрын
Could probably even install some permanent access doors, temp probes, and static probes on the system. Maybe even some clear piping to help with condensate/drain conversations. Might just be a fantasy of my own but I’ve always wished I had a vertical perfectly installed with clear doors clear drain pipe and static/temp probes felt like as a tech who really understands a lot of the practices used in residential hvac I would be able to teach people a lot of stuff with this as a resource.

What a lot of people don’t understand is that yes that’s a nice building, but that company is not just a source of income but it’s a way of life for his whole family. That’s definitely a very nice building and I’m super happy to see him winning

We use dump trailers. (1) for scrap metal and (1) for trash. Works well and you can just haul it off as needed. Just an option for you.

Hi great video and nice shop. Just wanted to mention be careful with the dumpster/dumpster truck, it could crack your concrete!
@tekjunkie282 жыл бұрын
1 idea that I'm sure you thought of is that you should get a forklift. Then on the back wall make shelves to stack stuff on in pallets. Shop seems small but then again it might be plenty if your just doing a few units and parts. I like your idea of the Gree flex and foam. Another Idea is that instead of Ethernet cable is to just do wireless. Ubiquiti should have a system that you can use. Also you could mount a Long Range Ubiquiti wifi acess point in or on your house and have it shoot our the signal towards that building.

I'd have a new 3 phase power drop done by the power company so you have options in your shop. The other thing I was gonna say was... figure out where you want your compressor and air lines now and run them before you finish the walls. But... not sure you wanna do that if you'll be spraying them. I'm sure you'll do it up nice like you always do! Congrats! It's comin along quick!

if you planning to run ethernet to the building, pull a fiber line instead of actual ethernet, you just need some fiber media converters on each end. Just in case if lighting strikes, it doesn't travel through the line and kill your network gear/pc. Theres guides on this online.

That's great, you got your shop together, It looks small from the outside, yeah your going to have to figure out what kind of power supply your going to get, either run a separate power supply or run a sub panel from your house, it depends on how much power your going to need, there are ups and downs on both, if you have a separate power supply the power company will have to be involved, if you run it from the house you just need inspectors and permits, Good luck.

It’s not as easy as hanging up a sign and make money. There’s some real stuff that complicates the stuff that seems super simple. Like his whole day went sideways, but because of a service call he had to go run, which is income and then he is trying to build a shop and operate a business and have employees do a good job for his customers….. I wouldn’t recommend starting a company from the ground up either. Establishing a solid customer base that’s enough to employ a guy to help you is a HUGE deal. The time on the edge of that burnt me out. I loved the way of life but I didn’t have the grit to get past the point where I could hire help and continue growing.
