Absolutely fantastic work! Look how far you have come in 1 year and it’s no wonder as you are a joy to listen to and watch! I am just so sorry I am not in Northern Ireland and not just handy 😂 I would be lending you a hand just because I love to help anyone who is working hard to achieve a dream. I enjoyed listening to the history regarding the shop as that’s part of the joy bringing it back to life. I hope to visit and enjoy a workshop soon. All the best for the Ikea building Jenny xx

A lovely space. I think it would be wonderful for regular social sewing and also as a kit/purple box prepping space. The kit boxes are such a great idea for presents. Good luck with your future plans. 🤞🫶

I think the space is amazing. I would love to have a place like yours to meet up with other sewists. It's a big undertaking but you seem to have a good plan. I'm surprised you have to repair it yourself since you don't own it. Best of luck. I look forward to seeing how it all comes together.

You’ve achieved so much in such a short time. That upstairs space is amazing, and when you mentioned a projector I thought of classes/facilities to learn how to use a projector for cutting out! I watched Tomkat stitchery’s KZbin video yesterday of Whitney using her projector and it looks like a useful skill.

Can’t you get the landlord to contribute to the repairs new flooring etc after all it’s making big improvements to his property at the end of the day .take it slowly and you will achieve your 😊goals best of luck for the future

Hi Linda, commercial leases work very differently to residential ones unfortunately and the tenant is usually responsible for the whole building. My landlord is actually very good but in this case it’s not his responsibility. I got a good deal on the rent with the state of the place in mind 😉 Thank you for your encouragement, slow and steady wins the race in this case!
