Im so happy to have someone like Dave (and team) to teach people these important lessons for life. I honestly don't know where my life would be without following these methods. My mental health would be destroyed. Without these people I wouldn't have paid for school or bought a house or even gotten the mind set to find a good partner who wants to win with me. Thanks guys!

I too have an issue with spending. It started in 2020 when I got laid off. Even though I am doing quite well financially, I refuse to spend money on myself. I have tried multiple times. I return whatever it is a couple days after buying it because I feel guilty. When I was a teenager, I spent whatever money I had. I now went from one extreme to another. On one hand, it's great because I save so much. On the other hand, I drive myself crazy.

Maybe experiencing both ends of the spectrum will let you figure out that sweet middle. Remind yourself of the days that you worked hard. That moment clicked when I went on vacation and I saw a reflection of myself with giant eye bags and finally thought, I need to treat myself too.

Those evangelical churches are experts at guilting the faithful into giving them more money. Its the grift of those places. Same grift as those TV shysters that tell the poor ignorants to send them their social security money and go hungry so the grifters can have a Mercedes. Its revolting

Right! Im the same way! 😋 It takes a bit of a mind shift once you get out of debt. I'm (consumer) debt free (other than the mortgage) a year now and barely am I ready to start treating myself. He will get through it 😌

Not so much a penny pincher, but he's someone who came out of struggling and he finds it hard to put money out there for himself.... he just needs to learn that there is nothing wrong with treating yourself when you are able to afford it..... it's a mindset issue more than anything else

I'm the same way as this guy. It comes down to self worth. I had issues with my family, to always not put myself first. To make others happy..I do feel guilty about buying myself something nice.. it takes along time to get over it and will struggle with it off and on in life. I seen poverty alot growing up.. you just have to remember, "You deserve Nice Things, but it's always good to help others in Need!" It's a balance to try to live by.

Nobody on the planet can. Fixing homelessness isn't as easy as building houses. It's an impossible issue. You can't just give away houses for free, otherwise people who work hard to pay for houses will feel hard done by. Some homeless don't want a house given to them. It's a very complex issue. Lots of drugs, crime, trauma and abuse involved as well. San Francisco has been spending UNBELIEVABLE amounts of money to try and fix homelessness, and they're barely making a dent.

@@saulgoodman2018 Maybe not guilty, however, cautious is a better word. Like I said, when you have 7 figures in cash in the bank, walking into the grocery store takes on a different feel. Trust me on this one Saul.
