I only just started my perfume journey a year ago and I am on a very limited budget, but I still have curated a small collection that I love. For the bigger ticket items, I can always get a decant or travel spray if I really want to wear it. I only follow 5 perfume channels, 3 religiously, and they always provide a good mix of high and low end options. Some people are just mad that they are broke, but there is always a way.

You are absolutely 💯 correct about people getting their self aligned appropriately to their lifestyle. If you can't afford it, you shouldn't be buying it or at least set a manageable budget for personal spending that doesnt set you back in other ways (like you said food in the fridge.) Yes, the internet does push for consumerism, but as you said, no one is forcing another person's hand. Everyone has to be mindful that we all live in different income brackets, and not everyone can live the same lifestyle as their peer. As I said on your fragrance release video. I am always happy to see someone's success and reach their goals. Can I afford to buy your fragrance? No! But! I can support you in other ways like watching your videos etc. Envy never gets anyone anywhere. People need to calm down with their spending. Myself included. 😂🎉 Everyone just needs to be a little kinder online as well it's turned into a complete $hit show especially with garbage comments I have read on people's feeds it's actually embarrassing that people act like mouthy animals about nothing.

I have not heard of any unpleasant behaviour going on with other content creators. I listen to quite a few of the smaller channels, and whilst they are absolutely disinterested in the many new releases coming out, favouring less well known and also some timeless fragrances, never have I heard unpleasantness. There IS more talk about mindless over consumption, and endless spending. However the psychology of consumerism has long been researched. Its not localised to any particular thing. We know that anyone who is over consuming on anything clearly has some deep seated issues to attend to. This is not to do with being able to afford it either particularly. It's just being unable to get of a merry go round of obsessively spending and why this happens in the first place. So I have heard the issue of over consumption being addressed more and more. I think we are in times globally, politically etc of great unrest and concern. People are realising whats important and what's actually not that important at all. With covid then many started to on the fragrance bandwagon. Additionally what so many people are utterly unable to hear, is that for some content creators it's a business for them. Yet they want to acquire the same amount of fragrances that they think they need because the content creators are talking about them. They forget that infact these fragrances didn't always cost the content creator a single penny . Whenever I hear anyone say they are 'obsessed' with anything I just ignore it because always they have a new obsession. So actually they are either not honest or also not particularly psychologically healthy . Id go for the latter. It's a bottle of fragranced water . It's not important or deep. So maybe other creators are simply observing and speaking on these things more. Fear of missing out is a problem. It's actually what makes people continue to mindlessly spend. Nobody makes anyone buy anything. It has sadly turned into a huge addiction for many and I include some creators in this. I do sometimes feel a bit sick to my stomach when I see these cabinets full of hundreds of perfume. It's not healthy. Viewer or content creator, its still not healthy and the lie is in denying it.

It is beyond me why people would be rude or negative over fragrances you like or don’t like. I mean for that matter no one is forcing anyone to buy anything. If they blind by something and don’t like it that’s on them. You can only know what you like you can’t know what everyone else enjoys. And I love watching your channel. I recently bought La nuit Tresor from Lancome blind by and roses Vannille by Mancera love both! But I have bought perfumes that were recommended by influencers also blind buys and did not really enjoy them. Oh well just give them away or try to sell! Also it is up to individuals to manage their finances. If they can’t afford something nobody is forcing them to buy it! You keep doing you! you are one of the first fragrance influencers I’ve ever found and followed and I love your channel!🩷😻

Cabana Sunset is my second favorite of yours. Kind Intentions is my favorite and one of the top purchases for me in 2023. Anyway, I have no idea what this negativity is that you and someone there's have been referring to (assuming there is some specific stuff that has happened) , but omg it's perfume! It's supposed to be fun! And what is wrong with making $ from your passion and providing good content? WHY IS THAT A PROBLEM? It’s mostly on TikToc, Instagram, Facebook. So far, KZbin is a “safe” space and mostly everyone is respectful to others. For my own mental health, I will not ever go on those other social media platform.

They just piggyback on your work because I think if they talk about you, KZbin will suggest this rubbish to all your viewers. Another comment … I’ve been thinking a lot about it. I don’t think channels like your encourage consumerism. We live in a consumerist society so the temptation is there anyway. We see people like you and Gabby loves perfume having many many bottles. But guys - THIS IS THEIR JOB (one of several). How many things to do with my work do I have? Way more than most people….. way way more. Did all this cost me a lot of money? You bet! Is this consumerism? I am not sure. If the tools of one’s work did not cost much, then that’s very very lucky … but this is not the norm. Guys, look around! All you do is help us decide what perfume to buy next IF we are in the market for this. I avoided many regret-buys because I watched your channel - thank you very much. I cannot tell whether I really like a scent from spraying my wrist in the shop and sometimes even a 2ml sample is not cutting it for me. I agree we should generally slow down with buying stuff. But we should only stop aiming to buy everything you do if we don’t have a channel the size of yours and if we did not put in all the hours and effort you did to grow this channel.
