Yep, you basically described the transformation from Worry/Anxiety over Arousal (the new excitement) to Flow (feels good) and Control (no worries) on Csikszentmihalyi's Flow model (V2), where the challenge needs to be aligned with the skill level and not with expectations/requirements.

We fear being alone, being rejected for who we are, etc. so our ego creates a story on how our life needs to be so that we don't have to ever experience the fear, which leaves us with this perpetual need to feed the ego and its story. Sometimes we update our stories with ideas like: "Rejections are part of life and opportunities to learn and grow", which are nice, and they make as feel better, but all of them are short term solutions and they don't work. Self improvment doesn't work. The core issues are fears. Face your fears. ALL OF THEM. Face them, accept them, live them. You know what you have to do, what you are running away from. It's the scariest shit you can imagine. Go towards it. Once you face your fears, one by one. You will unlock incredible amount of confidence, it will shape you, it will change you. You won't recognize yourself. Fears guys. Trust me. See you on top!

I used to be obsessed with self improvment, because I learned that you can work on yourself and see results of your improvments, which made me conclude that perfect life, my journey has to be making myself the absolute version of myself and if, when, I achieve that that I will never have to face rejection, pain, self doubt, fear ever again, because I am near perfect.... that's not how it works. This obsession of mine to work on myself in all aspects of life was fuelled by ego and its story. The truth is that I was running away from rejections, from doubt, from my imperfections, insecurities and I was doing everything, but facing those things. I thought that if I could become so good that I will never have to think and speak about my insecurities.. what a joke.

Wow, this reminds me of a short clip I saw just today where Dr Andrew Huberman talks about a study on rats; the rats that chose to run, out of their own motivation, got healthier, while rats that were forced to run got unhealthier, from the stress I suppose. The clip is called "The science of setting & achieving goals".

@@ErgoProxyification Alot of personal problems combined with not knowing what i wanted to do with my life and many more things … im doing much better now … wouldnt say perfect though … the biggest thing for me was moving out of home and outta state to pursue studies and once i had a change in enviroment while in college i started trying out side hustles … just kept trying stuff to help me figure out what i want to do with my life … the best thing i can say is if there is something u want to do just try it or else it will eat u up … just keep trying and keep moving forward … dont overestimate what you can do in 5 days and dont underestimate what u can do in 5 years … just keep moving forward and have patience … i hope you are able to come out stronger from whatever your dealing with man … much Love ❤️

I'm a part of this intrinsic process now, and there's no looking back. Thank you Andrew for introducing me to Stoicism and many other concepts that i'd have never grasped if it weren't for some external help.

This totally holds up. I remember you talking about this idea quite a while back in several of your videos, and I have since followed that concept 100%. The result: I have now a considerable following without ever caring about my numbers or trying to cater towards a certain audience. Also I've been very careful to not bend my style towards what I think people like, but rather just keep doing exactly what I love to do and improve step by step. Thank you Andrew for talking so clearly about this, you really helped me in a big way.

I love this concept, Andrew. This is the answer I needed to my getting stressed and anxious moving forward on a project. In fact I may shift to a bigger project that is my dream but I've been avoiding because I felt it might not meet people's expectations. Creating it for myself - what a wonderful concept!

@andrew kirby thanks man.. I needed to hear this..cuz right now my head is filled with tons of things to do. But i just go through the motions and do little out of the amazing things I want to do.. makes me spiral between stuffs, procrastinate and just get tired of everything cuz I'm thinking of making some funds which I really need right now but the issue is not that I'm broke but I have tons of ideas on what to do but the pressure i'm under to get this done and get the rewards as quickly as possible is both IMMENSE AND EXCRUCIATING at same time.. Life can really be at your face sometimes.

Been following your content for 2 years now. I love your recent Twitter post on exponential loops. It’s Good stuff. Have you tried making a video on the topic of utilizing non linear time. Yes time is an illusion and contrary to what most people believe it really is what you make it. I’ve read a couple of books on the topic of utilizing time speeding up and slowing down the perception of time. Am currently reading an audio book titled all the time in the world. There was another one : Time travel magic by Osgood Stratd. Just a suggestion.

Honestly, when creating a game, you gotta let go of the idea of doing it for money, it ruined my motivation and caused me to give up, until now, when I got back to it about 1 week ago

Does this follow the advice given so often, “do something you love and you’ll never work a day in your life”. I know I used to teach golf and I absolutely loved it. And it’s been about five years since I have actively taught…but yesterday while I was watching the British Open, I received a text, out of the blue from someone who saw one of my teaching videos and thank me for helping him. We went back and forth a bit, because I wanted to help, and in that instant, those juices flowed. Great video again Andrew. Thanks so much

You both do not know the meaning of life itself that is why you base all your decisions on weak fundament. The meaning of life is control and manage matter and energy, fight with entropy. Based on these thing making a game which do not bring money is waste of time and resources.

Bro your YT conversion rate is terrible. Also, your videos are all the same: THIS THING will change your life. Next week, it's another thing. Kind of obvious you just want a bit of online income and so are churning out generic content.
