People underestimate learning from someone that doesn't have a language as their mother tongue. They teach well because they learned it, rather than absorbing it naturally over time.

The problem with a lot of Chinese people is when you are Chinese and try to teach them English, they make an assumption that your English cannot be that good. Some of my friends who went to visit China to teach English told me this. They don't want to learn English from other Chinese people, they want to learn English from someone who looks whyte.
