Lets all get together and tell Mammotion "NEVER DO ZERO TURN FOR ANY REASON!" . The mower should always "rock" in a multi-point way while doing positioning movement. These tank-turns are destructive! Current Multi-Point Turn only applies to the cutting paths, not to its own positioning moves.

Just a few things I noticed. The decks are held on by the same three screws as the discs are. It's easy to pull them off to clean underneath them. As for the blades, it's somewhat true that the other side won't be as worn, but any time the mower travels backward, it is using the other side of the blade, as I believe I read that it spins in the opposite direction when traveling backward.

Thank you for your videos Here’s a thought A series of videos answering all the different various questions why doesn’t this work? How do I do that? What am I doing wrong etc. I’m not sure how you would label it so that someone who doesn’t know you as the crazy postman would get it to pop up when they’re asking for Luba what’s wrong with my Luba questions? It’s a good lawnmower. I think it’s gonna be around for a long time and you’re my go to guide just like you are your dad’s guy I’m old. I’ve had a stroke just working upstairs. I love all this electronic crap but when it gives me a problem it is difficult for me to solve sometimes , thanks to you and your website. It sure has made my life a lot easier. Thanks again. Unless it is dry, mine gets like that almost every day so I wash mine down regularly. The trick, as detailed in the Luba instructions, is not to tip Luba beyond the vertical so water does not run back past the extending motor shaft seal. I also get spurious donut holes.

The challenges for this Luba is there's a lot of neighborhood kids That would mess with it if they saw it operating, My parents are retired and always out in the yard working in gardens with water hoses during the daytime. I do try to maximize daytime mowing but it's just not possible that often.

So, where do I start? Fantastic video. I think It might be the best one you've ever made. I really enjoyed it. Thanks. Thanks for the tip to change disks instead of blades. That will speed up the process a lot. Have you tried making a channel next to your douhnut holes? I haven't tried this yet. You don't need a channel when 2 zones are overlapping, but it would be nice if we could make a channel anyway. It's not hard to delete channels and make new ones a few feet away on fresh grass. And if there was a channel, Luba might not even make dounut holes. Have you ever tried making a channel between 2 overlapping zones?
@Crazypostman3 ай бұрын
If I try to make a channel between two overlapping zones You get the error that says channel already exists
@emilbreznik57233 ай бұрын
@@Crazypostman hihi - you did it in your next video. Maybe all you needed to do, was get rid of one overlap, since you had two overlaping areas on the same 2 mowing zones. Perhaps Luba was confused when travelling from one zone to the other, and looking back, wondering if it should take the other overlap. Doesn't matter - problem solved in your next video.

Suggestion for your next episode. How does the Luba keep up with the battery after 1 year you have been using it? You can check how many hours it has been running and also the number of miles or kilometers by going to the menu/device information/maintenance. Just as a reference point. If I have 100% battery, I get about 60% time out of 1%. So, if my battery is at 100%. Then it went to 80, so it lost 20% of battery, it would have mowed for 32 minutes. (20 + 60% of 20 = 32). So out of a full charge, it would mow from either 100% to 20%, so 128 minutes, or if it goes from 80% to 20% battery, it would mow 96 minutes. Note I have a luba 2 AWD 5000 version. Is there any degradation on the battery yet? Also regarding the grass accumulating under the deck: try to avoid at all cost to mow in the night. The dew is just making the grass stick to the deck. I wont allow mowing before 11AM and I will stop the mowing before night fall.
@Crazypostman4 ай бұрын
School is out here lots of neighborhood kids I don't really want to mow during the daytime and get their attention to come mess with it and possibly get hurt. Also it's very hot in the middle of the day might reach 100F the next few days probably not the best for Luba. I agree mowing at night causes problems with grass clippings. I get about 3 hours of mowing time on my battery still about the same from when it was no I haven't noticed any diminished cutting time.

Luba needs an extraordinary amount of constant babysitting. Getting stuck over and over. Have to keep walking up to it to put it back into its task areas. Sometimes it seems I might as well be out there mowing it all myself instead.
@Crazypostman3 ай бұрын
How does it get out of its task area? Mines never done that and I got the most number of hours and mileage of pretty much any luba in existence. Maybe check your install, something could be off. Does the RTK have a nice clear view of the sky? does it happen on a hill?
@Cotronixco3 ай бұрын
@@Crazypostman Gravity and poor programming keeps taking it out of its task areas. When Luba should be staying on the uphill side of things, she tries maneuvering on the downhill side and then gets stuck. RTK is on top of my 2-story house on a tripod bolted tightly. Yes, it's hilly here, and Luba can't tell the difference between uphill and downhill, and gravity always pulls it downhill out of the task areas, like a magnet. It also tends to stop to turn, which is never advised with any vehicle, making it prone to wiggle itself downhill just to get stuck everywhere, over and over. I have the 10000 with 30 task areas and about 2.5 acres to mow. Right now it's charging, and the screen says "the robot is stuck." Very strange behavior. Luba does great in the open, flat areas, but really poorly on hillside edges.
@Crazypostman3 ай бұрын
@@Cotronixco weird... I don't have any personal experience with the luba2. It has a less aggressive back wheel design I wonder if that causes it to have less traction than the L1. You'll just have to keep experimenting, Maybe there's some way you could mitigate it. You may have to leave the bottom of that hill to manual mowing that would cause you less pain if you're having to intervene all the time.
@Cotronixco3 ай бұрын
@@Crazypostman Thanks for your response. I don't think it's a traction issue, but a programming issue. I would assume Luba knows which side is up and which side is down, so Mammotion should be able to program their turns accordingly, always favoring an uphill maneuver instead of a downhill maneuver. But the slope is always ignored, and Luba always turns and wiggles herself into ditches and low-lying areas and then gets stuck there. I have a bulging disc in my back and am unable to mow manually. I did order a second Luba yesterday, so my battery power won't be always depleted. I wonder how that is going to work with one RTK and one or two chargers. What I'm thinking of doing is to create dummy task areas below real task areas so that when Luba is sucked downhill by gravity she will at least end up in a task area, which may stop the constant "dead in the water" scenarios. Do you think Luba would accept a no-go zone where the user carries her around the perimeter of an unnavigable area to create it?
@Crazypostman3 ай бұрын
@@Cotronixco I've heard people say they put Luba on a sled and pull it to make cleaner no go zones I think that's kind of silly but if you have to do it it would be interesting to hear if it works. When I said mow manually I meant with Luba I'm sure you can manually control it on that hill better than Lubas algorithm. I'm actually pretty confident that they do not take angle into consideration when mowing. Because Luba pre-programs its paths before it even starts It does not know about the angle at the time.
