I want to be a kind and understanding person. I so needed that when I was young and didn't get it. I am so blown away with young people being themselves and self aware. That was not encouraged in my generation. How could I not be excited for someone who is making themselves whole physically and mentally. My husband laughs at me when I cry over someone I might not know personally but he likes that part if me that really cares about people.

Just a quick reminder that you WILL experience hormone crash. Your chest is responsible for a lot of hormone distribution and when it is reduced those hormones go down so if you feel like you made the wrong decision the day after its probably just a hormone crash and once you've recovered a bit more the thought the you did the right thing will come back! Also I'm so happy you got a date and consult for your surgery! You go man!

I got top surgery with Miles! I honestly had basically no pain and I felt fine/pretty much back to normal like 4 days later, apart from just having to be careful with myself obviously

i deal with hella dysphoria and it gets to the point that i want to just sleep. forever. and when it hits, and i want a binder before i get top surgery, because i know top surgery is very expensive. and i’ve heard some binders are pretty cheap,, or a lot cheaper than top surgery. but i can’t just tell my very transphobic mother that i need a chest binder because i get hella dysphoria. but it gets so bad and i just want something to flatten my chest.

Hi friend, i would definitely recommend tight sports bras and baggy or layered clothes. Worked for me for years, posture is a thing too, to make fabric hang in certain ways. Do some research about binding safety to see if you can find some temporary solutions. Be safe :]

It is usually, I think because he entered private care for hrt it fucked up the whole system so he couldn't get it on the nhs. Not sure if that's the case but that was something that came up when I looked into private hormone treatment which is shitty but what can you do.

Congratulations on surgery dude! Good decision going for DI. I was on the edge and I'm so glad I went with DI, I am super happy with my results! You can always get a tattoo to cover your scars afterwards anyway. Try not to be too worried about recovery, it's not all as bad as it's made out to be. Just be prepared for not being able to lift your arms up and being hunched over for a while!!

I think you've may have seen this already but Kalvin Garrah made a video on his top surgery process and results,(which is super helpful). And the best thing you can do is ask your doctor about bringing reference pictures for him to use come prior to your surgery. If there's any specifics you want about your chest such as nipple placement, scar placement, sizing, etc. bring references so he has something to go by. Get as specific as you can. Hope this helps and best of luck.

Alice Trigg it’s basically a double mastectomy with muscle/skin sculpture so you have to be under full anesthesia like any hard surgery. hell, getting your tonsils removed takes longer tho.
