Miles Berry's prices have significantly increased since this video unfortunately. In a recent email from his team I received in November 2020, I was informed that the initial consultation is now £150, and the cost for surgery is now £6595.00 for 2 hours in theatre, £7095.00 for 2 ½ hours in theatre, £7615.00 for 3 hours in theatre, £8095.00 for 3 ½ hours in theatre, and £8594.00 for 4 hours in theatre. And you cannot guarantee how long you'll be in theatre until you have it. Just something to be aware of for anyone else looking into surgery with Miles Berry so you can figure out whether or not you can afford it 😊👍

Hey Noah, so happy to hear that you are pleased with your results, you mentioned earlier in the video that if you went shirtless and were self conscious about your scars that you can always have make up put over them and make them less visible. I was wondering if, in the future, you would be able to do a video where you have your scars covered up with make up as it would be really useful for me to see how much of a d difference this makes. It would be greatly appreciated and hope you're having a great day! x

I have a scar on my chin from when I fell like 10 years ago, and it's only recently that people can't really see it when I show them. On my finger I have a scar, but it's not noticable unless you know, which most people don't, and I had surgery in my finger a few months ago. I think it depends on what the scar is and some scars take longer to heal than others.

i’ve got a bunch of scars all over, but my biggest/best story is on my foot, my sister and i were flying kites and she accidentally dropped her kite string or something and i was sitting in a stroller (bc i was very small) and it somehow got caught and the rope burn from the kite string cut open my foot, not very much but i was bleeding and the scar is still there i’m looking at it rn lol anyway my point is i (or my mom) didn’t put anything on that cut to help it heal, we just bandaged it and let it heal like any other cut or scrape (i’m 15 now). however, my brother was playing on the couch with the dog and he fell off and hit his face and his glasses cut his eyebrow open and it was bleeding a lot and i was home alone with him and i had to call our dad (who i think was out shopping) and grandpa (who lives across the street from us) anyway he had to get like seven or thirteen stitches i don’t remember but he put mederma on his scar and it’s barely visible now (i think probably two or three years later) though we have very similar skin types anyway sorry i ramble a lot it’s 2am but i hope this helped to show that like yeah some scars stick around for a long time but some disappear real fast and it just depends how you treat them oh also i think it’s like once ever seven or once every fourteen years but your skin like completely regenerates so yeah i’m sure it’ll be fine? i mean ofc your worries are valid and i respect them ig i just wanted to say like yknow just bc you have one scar that’s stuck around for a long time doesn’t mean that all your scars will, plus scars in general take a while to fully heal. sorry thanks bye

I know this may sound like a weird question coming from a trans girl, but do any of you trans guys who have had too surgery heard of tattoo artists who can put tattoos over your scars after some time to make it look more natural or other ways to make it look as natural as possible? I’ve been wondering this lately as I have tons of friends who are trans guys
@magsh15224 жыл бұрын
i think just makeup like you’d use to cover any other scar? like idk much abt makeup but if you have acne scars that you use makeup to cover you can probably just use the same thing as long as your chest isn’t too different in color from your face (btw i’m using the hypothetical collective you or whatever) but then again i’m a pre-op enby so idk don’t quote me on that ig
@SleepiiGhxst4 жыл бұрын
I heard a few weeks ago that you can get a form of tattooing called micro pigmentation done. I believe it’s where they basically tattoo a colour that matches your skin tone as close as possible, but I’m no expert so you might want to look into it more if you’re still looking for options :)
@daddysgotapenny4 жыл бұрын
Tattooing over scaring is hard because the skin there is tough, so if an artist does cover scars they I'll need to be fairly skilled. I believe they use darker tones to ensure longevity, so I doubt they would be able to use light colors to make it look more natural, so if the main drive is a natural look then I doubt you'll find anyone. you can most definitely find skilled artists who can cover scars with art though!

From your confidence in your surgeon it's made me think I might try go with the same person if I can afford it. I've worked out its probably going to take me about 2 years to save for it, which is a long time but will definitely be worth it. That's unless I somehow managed to get to the top of the NHS Newcastle gender clinic before I've saved enough in which case I'll get surgery through NHS 👍

So I'm gonna say some things I wish I knew before, but keep in mind I had periareolar and I live in Belgium so I'm just speaking from my experience. 1. All the youtube videos I watched had these reveals and so I thought I only got to see my chest a couple weeks post op but when I was in the awakening room just after surgery and I woke up my first instinct was to look at my nipples and I just did it. there were no bandages or anything so I could see everything. I only had to put two dressings and a binder on when I was in the recovery room with my mom. And even after that I was able to see my chest everyday because a nurse came to take care of it. 2. The first few days nothing was swollen, red or bruised but after a week the skin below my nipple started looking red and it hurt. I thought it was infected so we called the surgeon and I was immediately put on antibiotics and in the evening we went to see the surgeon but there were no signs of infection. He explained to me that they not only take away the mammary gland but also a ligament and that's what was causing the pain. He said that that was totaly normal. 3. Don't expect everything to look right the moment after your surgery. If you're like me you panic about every little change but the recovery takes up to three months, so before that don't worry to much about how it looks. 4. It's okay to take your binder off sometimes (if your surgeon told you so). The doctors did tell me that but I wanted to be safe and kept it on for two weeks before taking it off. Just take it off for like an hour and breathe. 5. This one won't be for everyone but it happened to me so it might happen to you too. My surgeon told me at first that I had to wear the binder for six weeks and I also couldn't exercise for that period of time. But after my consultation after my surgery he said that it was healing pretty well and said that I only had to wear it for four weeks :). I'm just saying this in case you like me are really not looking forward to wearing that thing for so long (mind you I had surgery in the summer, so not the ideal time to wear two layers). 6. Speaking of summer, don't be dumb like me and have your surgery in the summer when you have exams. I had surgery June sixth and my first exam was June seventh. I was able to post pone my exam but I still had to take an exam on June ninth. This put a lot of stress on me because I wasn't able to study much and I could barely get to my school. 7. If you had drains like me I'm just going to say it but that shit hurts so much to take out. I read somewhere that it feels tingly. It doesn't. I hurts so so much, but I found a trick to lesser the pain. Take a deep breath and when the nurse pulls it out you blow on the top of your hand. Also I thought the piece of drain that was in me was small but it's about as large as where it is put in you to your nipple. I don't want to scare anyone but I think it's better to know the truth than sitting in pain and complete shock after the first one and having to do a second. 8. Next the pain medication. Do not wait until you are in pain again to take your medication. Have a routine! That way you are never in pain :). 8. Lastly as I said I am pretty paranoid so I didn't move my arms for one bit during the healing process. So when I could move my arms above my shoulders again I wasn't able to because they hadn't moved for a month. You can't move your arms a lot but please do it a little bit, just make sure they don't go above your shoulders and you should be fine. Also when you can start moving a bit just take it slow like Cameron said in the video like for example don't start running right away but start with walking.

I worry about having top surgery because im genderfluid and some days i hate my breasts, some days im kinda feelin em- but they are actively doing me bodily harm, and I've been wanting to get top surgery for like... 5 years, almost consistently- but my mom told me today that if im gonna get it done, we need to get it done soon before i turn 18, so i have around 18 months to get it done so we can get it done with the insurance i have currently under my parents- but instead of veing excited i was terrified because i had never thought about it genuinely because i thought I'd never get the chance, but now im kinda excited because i really do hate my tits- ive been watching all of Noah's videos about it and now i cant wait-

i’m on T but i think i’ve been counting the months wrong… do you count them every month (like the 25th of every month or whatever) as your month mark or is it exactly 4 weeks cause i’ve been doing it 4 weeks and there’s a big difference in time between the two…. someone help lol
@GrimCrumbz Жыл бұрын
I count a month like your example! I started T on November 1st of 2021, so the 1st of every month is how I keep track!

Yes even without T you can build muscle. I’d try researching chest exercises (or specifically transgender exercises)

Sup Noah, i'm Transgender and how does it feels when you were wearing binders before top surgery cuz i did not get any binders yet?
@FitsLikeAGLove25 жыл бұрын
DJ Koko I wear binders, they’re tight and uncomfortable at first but you can get used to them pretty quickly, just don’t wear them when you’re doing sport, feel sick, short breath or sleeping, and never get one too small for you, if you have a lgbt help centre near you they might supply it or help you fit it.

For me personally I don’t even notice. Sometimes I just have to adjust. It doesn’t suck as bad as people say

It feels really tight at first, but you get used to it. After a while it can be hard to breathe, which is when I take it off

Hi Noah! I just found your channel and I have to say if it wasn’t for this video being the first one I watch from you I never would have guessed you were trans you pass so well ✨ I’m genderfluid and have a very low pain tolerance (I get lightheaded just getting my blood drawn ^^’) I have a bit of a chest - I used to be fine with it but I’ve gained weight as I got older (I’m 18) and am starting to feel a bit dysphoric about it because it’s getting harder to hide in my preferred fashion sense which usually includes baggy band shirts and hoodies, but even in these it’s visible now and none of my sports bras help and my parents don’t want to get me a binder because they don’t want the tissue to be damaged. I’ve been thinking about top surgery - would you reccomend it? Because I’m genderfluid my dysphoria isn’t super bad, it’s just uncomfortable and getting dressed in the morning makes me sad whenever I have to stare at my chest :(
