After some thought, I have to say that Ken from Barbie and the Rockers is my favorite male doll ever. His silver 80s space suit and neon pink socks with stars on them, silver scarf, and mullet...he came from another dimension to grace us with his fabulousness! (Honorable mention: I love that Jazzie's boyfriend is named "Dude." That alone makes him amazing lol.)

First off, I want to thank you for this great opportunity and for your kindness by sharing your collection! I have recently started to develop a higher appreciation for Ken. I do have the Kenough version from the movie with Ryan's face sculpt. I also have the first release with the open smile. I will tell you that I love the Looks male dolls, but my absolute favorite is the Fashionista surfer dude (long blonde hair). I swapped him to a made to move body for more posable options, but his face and the long hair get me every time I move my dolls around.

Well, this is fun! I'm a big Ken lover and it's really hard to pick a favorite, but I think it has to be the Hispanic Tango Ken from the Tango Dancer Gift Set. I literally only have one ken doll, so by default my favorite is the Barbie Looks #17. I would love to eventually get the BMR1959 redhead ken, as he looks startlingly like my father when he was young. It makes my heart happy to look at sweet doll photography that uses him. I used to have several sculpted blonde and brunette ken dolls when I was younger, in the mid to late 80s, but there was a type of coming of age Barbie and toy purge when we moved at the end of 5th grade. Only four childhood Barbie dolls have remained with me since that time.

I didn’t like the stock Ken face either so I didn’t get them and when I heard that Ryan face was replacing it for both beach Ken and rollerblading Ken I was hoping that they would show up in stores and I finally saw the rollerblading Ken the other day. I’m quite happy with it ,though it would have been even nicer with a smiling Ryan face,lol.

Hi there, Kada! When I was a little gay boy, I always found myself attracted to Ken dolls. LOL. I was 10ish when the Dream Date Ken hit store shelves and I thought he was so attractive. My cousin had one and I spent many hours playing with her and her dolls (I of course just wanted to play with him). Those big dimples and fetching dinner ensemble just spoke to me. Since then, there have been so many versions of Ken that have appealed to me but that Dream Date Ken still remains one of my favorites.

I have the Ryan Ken already .... Cool you're doing a giveaway of the double .... I have the OG Movie Ken in the Rollerblading outfit and have a GREAT Idea..... I'm thinking of turning him into Allan!! Do you know a safe way to color doll hair... Cool idea to turn Ken into Allan! That is definitely more of an Allan face than a Ryan. He has rooted hair, right? Hmm. I use watercolor pencils (with a little paintbrush) for faces but haven’t used it on hair. I’ve used Sharpie on rooted hair but it’s definitely permanent. Red might be too garish, and brown might be too dark. Someone mentioned colored liquid eyeliners (like BestLand) but I haven’t tried them yet and not sure how they’d do on hair. Let me know how it turns out. Also I need to check out Derek 😀🤩
