Yea ranked can be super brutal. I was halfway to getting promoted to Tekken God, then went on a losing streak which demoted me back to Bushin, then I had to grind my way back to Tekken Emperor. The prowess matchmaking (especially if you play with side characters) and losing streak deductions can really screw you over so quickly and take away days of progress in 15 minutes. The worst thing is that even if you get demoted, your prowess doesn't even go down which essentially makes your matches just as hard as before.

@@bandawin18 I feel you. My thing is when I run a bunch of quick matches I win more than lose. @bandawin183 ай бұрын
@@Urlastnerve that's the problem, you gotta use quick matches to level up your gameplay and whenever you lose in ranked you gotta go look at the replay to see what you did wrong and how you could've won. It's especially helpful to turn on frame data, inputs, whatever to see which moves are punishable, which moves you could use as a punish, what to stop throwing out, etc. That's at least how I try to get better, but sometimes the opponent is just better and it's just a skill issue at the end of the day. Some characters just have better 50/50 mixups and you just guessed wrong. Nothing you can really do in that scenario but guess correctly next time

Honestly I wouldn't worry about it man. I was hard stuck in Fujin for the longest time. What helped me was taking week breaks and making small milestones. So eventually I went from Fujin to now God of Destruction. However you gotta realize no one is a perfect player and each loss sure sets you back, but look at it as something valuable to be learned. When I was tekken king I got demoted all the way down to Kishin because I wasn't using my characters strengths to my advantage. Had to climb up hardcore back to Tekken king. Some days I would say "let's try to get in the middle of the rank for this particular rank". If I did that I hit a milestone. Then would chill for a week. Then hit ranked again. Mental reset is everything. You play way better when you don't have a calm mind. Eventually I did this on and off and boom hit my end goal of GoD rank. However, my other point is just using your characters strengths to the best of your ability. For example Hwoarang is an aggressive hornet of a character. So playing him rushdown is essential. Where my main (Shaheen Main) excels at mix ups and mobility. Another thing that helps is knowing your frame punishes. Your 10f punish, 12f, 13f, 14f and 15f (typically always a launcher). Labbing a bit against characters is paramount though to understand this. Again I wouldn't worry about it. Create small milestones, take breaks, and explore neutral possibilities with your characters strengths.
@Wanglord3 ай бұрын
I've hit this point too, albeit at a slightly lower rank (Raijin). I feel like once you start going into the blue ranks, the ability to pilot your own character very well is just expected instead of being the thing that carries you. Now I feel like I've hit a massive character knowledge wall, and it's honestly pretty daunting to climb over it.

Going between fujin and battleruler constantly and have been doing it for like 2 months... one thing i have noticed is that most players i lose against, when i check their "skill map" the five star diagram that tells you your strenghts and weaknesses. Most people i lose against are below half of my "skill level" like they have 30-40 in defense, like 90 points in attack, and alot in style as well. The ones i win against have higher stats then me... i dont know how to interpret that but it makes me think that alot of the people i lose against have no idea what they are doing. I check the replay just to see what i could have done better and realize that there ia nothing. My opponent spams inputs so fast that within 10 seconds they have made enough inputs to finish the match 10 times over. In the middle of all that mashing there are perfect lowblocks, punishes and parrys. Which to me feels very strange. I dont think someone can accurately pick out 17 frames to blick a low when you have 300 other inputs coming out at the same time. The people with "higher skill" according to the chart doesnt even have close to the same i put spam and you can actually see the move they are doing. Not saying they are cheating, but im def sus about it.

I started Tekken 8 with Xiaoyu on PS5 Pad. I noticed a lot of misinputs that costed me rounds/matches as well. At first, I thought it was me but then I invested in a Razer Kitsune. My gaming experience has been much better. I also found out that my PS5 controller developed stick drift on the left stick, which was also causing issues. I've since switched to Zafina and went from being stuck at Tenryu to promoting to Kishin and I really believe I wouldn't have been able to do it on PS5 Pad. My main issue on Pad was doing FF, FFF inputs but getting an Up input instead.

I been hard stuck at flame ruler for about 2 months now dam near it’s tough on ranked everytime I fight against a blue rank a third of my bar is dam near gone and I gotta start back from the middle of the bar again it’s really annoying and I get so frustrated I just get off because I know if I play pissed off imma keep getting demoted so hopefully when I get back from this like week or two break I can hit battle ruler

I promoted from Garyu all the way to Battle Ruler in the past 4 Days. Just mash bs and plug when you’re about to lose. Easy and efficient. Not worth being stuck in flame ruler for months, reward yourself.

Man, watching you play on PS5 makes me kinda sad that one of those cost over twice my monthly wage.😭 Anyway, I know how it feels to get stuck like that. I got hard stuck in Plat 1 with Cammy in SF6. I'm playing Akuma now and I'm slowly climbing. Edit: I for one hate Lee ever since I met him in Tekken 5.
