I saw Adrianna in Six at the Chicago Shakespeare Theatre last night and was blown away by her, (and the other cast members as well.) I OBVIOUSLY had to look up her other work, and I couldn’t have asked for a lovelier/more heartfelt rendition of this incredible song. I’m a huge fan of Cynthia Erivo, but I loved hearing another equally gorgeous and passionate version of the same piece. 💕🌟💪🏾

It’s interesting that she wasn’t the 1st understudy on Broadway but got the role for the National tour. I wonder if Bre was even offered? I would be okay with her vocals if I didn’t have Cynthia and Fantasia soulful tone in my head. It’s different but I’m not against it. She’s good!

First of all, technically speaking she has a fabulous voice! She had all those notes perfectly. She just doesn’t have the R&B stylings of an African-American. Oh well.

I love Adrianna, she does different riffs and add in other Vocal effects that Cynthia doesn’t add. Now- Cynthia is amazing. But I like this version much better. I guess I don’t really like Glottal attacks that Cynthia does. Plus, her voice has this raspy tone to me. But I like this it’s more sweet and soft. And Adrianna voice is clear and smooth.

Tbh imo it felt like she was more “performing” and not being the character. So that’s what I think Benjamin meant when he said it lacked soul. I agree
