I mean this very very sincerely - do you remember that you say these things about yourself? You comment on your "double chin," you make comments about not being healthy & not wanting to actually live a long life, not caring if your cats live a long life, etc. I don't know where you're seeing these comments you claim are being said, I mainly see loyal subscribers complimenting you. Or people sharing makeup tips & new techniques because we are all learning. I think you're dealing with your really rude behavior in your last Live & you don't seem capable of just saying "hey guys, I came off really rude & I'm sorry about that. There's no reason for me to be like that." When we mess up, apologizing is ok & apologizing is right. One person asked about your weight in the Live, meant as a compliment because you do talk about your size. I'm not excusing commenting on someone's body, but that legit turned into a full blown great convo about bodies & such. Idk man. I think you need a YT break.

Yes! I'm an advocate that everyone should get therapy, even if they "feel fine" I'd love to normalise people just going to therapy as a monthly or yearly treat, get their heads straight, just a check up, just like you would for the doctor. (Obvs esp in places like america this is not a thing everyone could do or afford, but yeah, in a perfect world) But yeah, I hope she gets the help she needs, and I agree that she really needs to step away from youtube in a big way, or at the very least just turn off the comments, and just stick to make up or collectibles, putting your relationship on social media for people to watch in semi-real time? The trolls were bad before, but they've gotten *considerably* worse (i.e. weird instagram hate pages posting pics of dan's family and his ex etc. unhinged shit) so I think it's time for her to reel it in for a bit, she needs to focus on her job, let her relationship really grow and enjoy that time instead of spending it talking to a camera. Not to beat a dead horse but you intentionally PUT yourself, your life, your image and your issues on social media for all to see. Other than your own self degradation, if you werent on the internet, would there really be that many people criticizing you? You're certainly not out of the range of what an average body looks like in the US. If you're struggling with acceptong yourself, if you constantly feel a need to defend yourself, your choices, your looks, etc..and it's bringing you down..maybe make the decision that you might need to not put yourself on the internet until you're a bit stronger and more resolute. The internet will always be a platform for some people to make themselves feel better by putting others down. You're never going to change that. You're working a regular job now. If you make videos they should make you happy regardless of what others comment. If that's not happening..why make the videos and invite more support for your own pervasive thoughts of inadequacy? I wouldn't enjoy reading what every anonymous internet user thinks of me or my life...ergo I wouldn't put it on display. Just a few thoughts.

I absolutely have empathy as a person with many mental health struggles but you need to understand multiple things can be true at the same time. Many of the criticisms were valid and yeah some of them could have been worded better but the ones not focused on your weight (because no one really cares or is impacted by that but you) were genuine because what we saw was uncomfortable and alarming.

I think you are really comfortable with this narrative because it’s always been your story, but maybe it’s time to outgrow it. Especially now the world we live in provides so much more support for women of all looks on every platform , but there will always be critics. I’m thinking at this point you are afraid to let that story go and be truly confident and accept yourself. You can change your body, and your attitude, and your thoughts. You talk about your past and your body in such a way like it still owns you. Do the work. Get a therapist. Lost weight and be your best size. Count calories and eat good healthy meals, lift weights. You are an able body woman. You are not your best self right now. You say you don’t workout. That’s a basic for mental health. Trust me I’ve been multiple sizes had a child etc. I’ve healed my relationship with exercise and food and I have a physique I could’ve never imagined having it’s changed my skin and my hair but that wasn’t even why I started. I started because I was tired of selling myself short & expecting outside things to help me feel better and comfortable. You aren’t happy you aren’t comfortable. Showing pimples and saying you accept your body was maybe a step you needed to take but u can also move past that phase and the new stage can be making peace with yourself by caring for your body and mind in a way that’s not punishment and not for anyone but you and I would do it privately. Or you can do this for 10 more years

Also, I feel the conversation you had with Dan after your live was incredibly fake, "I'm sorry that I'm fat and that I treat you horribly" - Cassie what is that? I am a long time subscriber and I am not sure if you release these types of videos a couple times a year because they get a lot of interaction (more money for you) or to try and make yourself the victim to your audience. Whatever the reason, I really think talking to a professional instead of venting to your subscribers would really benefit you. I have said it before in a similar video that this is the internet and no matter what you do someone will find fault with it. People are going to assume they know you because you put a lot of information about your life out there. They are going to jump to conclusions. They are going to say horrible things about you and your relationship. You cannot control it unless you heavily moderate or turn off your comments completely. The only thing in this world you can control is yourself and how you react to situations. This type of reaction is just feeding the trolls and will give them more ammunition to keep going. It is a vicious cycle that is continually repeating on your channel. You really need to do some soul searching and contemplate whether this is the right decision for your mental health to keep making videos for this channel. If you decide the pros outweigh the cons then I think you need to make some changes either in your content or the way your interact with your subscribers so you don't keep repeating this pattern. You are alienating people by complaining about the same things over and over again without doing anything to change it. What makes it even more frustrating as a viewer is that you have the means and access, unlike many people, yet you still don't seem to want to do anything to improve your situation like seeing a professional. I wish you nothing but the best and want to see you happy but don't think this channel is helping at all.

Being hung up about a cat jumping on the counter is weird behavior
@RamdomManeGenerator Жыл бұрын
I’ve seen a lot of cats jump on counters. Some owners don’t like it and they train them not to do it. And others don’t. I’ve never had a cat. But, I have had a dog. It’s the same thing with letting them sleep on your bed. My dog does not sleep on my bed. He rolls around in his own poop, lol. But, he does get to lay down on the sofa. I just make sure his blanket is there. But, other people will let their dogs climb everywhere. So, it depends on the person. And I really don’t think this is the dealbreaker in deciding someone’s character. Her chronic depression that she never seems to get help for, her passive aggressive behavior, her victim mentality (I get it you’re not socially beautiful), and her using her audience as therapists (though I will admit whenever she makes a video like this, the comments are so insightful). That’’s the issue. The rest of the stuff like the cats on the counter is just nitpicking and she should ignore it. Stop addressing it. You don’t own your audience an explanation or even an apology for how you raise your cats. And the people who demand that should be ignored.
@RamdomManeGenerator Жыл бұрын
@@moominmay I agree. She does ignore her comments. I’m not sure if this community is becoming toxic, though. Sure, there are nitpicking comments or just downright negative ones. One time, there was comments about her boobs. And if I recall correctly, she made a whole video defending herself and her boobs, lol. Why? It’s so stupid. Or another time during her dating series, she had another one of these types of videos after going on a few dates with someone. And she was really sad, disappointed, and even crying that it didn’t work out. I don’t think she said that she loved the guy. But, commenters were like, “You’re acting like you’re totally in love. Stop being psycho and needy.” Again, stupid. Completely stupid. She was just upset that it didn’t work out. I don’t recall her saying that she was in love with him or that she saw herself spending her whole life with him. She did say something along the lines of, “I thought this was one gonna work.” But, that far from saying,””I know we are gonna get married and have kids.” That’s how the comments were. they were berating for reacting the way she did after a few dates with a guy. However. I don’t see the toxicity in this community. Even in that video where she was “totally in love” with some dude, people were supportive. And I often see more positive comments than negative. A lot of them are insightful and respectful. Regardless of all that, she ignores these comments. And that’s what matters. If you’re going to make a para-social relationship with your subscribers, at the very least ‘heart’ what they said. You don’t have to have a conversation with each and every person. No one is expecting you to be a size zero or a body builder but just want you to make a few healthy changes that could make a big difference not just physically but mentally. I've been a size 16 since I was 18 and now fluctuate between an 18/20 so I know how you feel. My health has suffered from being the same way and now I'm trying my best now to do better. Being content with doing the same outdated content every week, not leaving the house, making excuses for everything, and eating junk is not an end goal I’m all for loving yourself but you also have to treat yourself with love and that includes trying to better yourself From what I’ve seen in the comments there are maybe 1% criticizing your weight and 99% commenting on who you are on the inside, actually. And most likely your outside appearance is a reflection of how you are inside from whatever “snipets of life” you’ve shared with us in the last 10 years. Anytime you do those woo is me videos it’s always people’s fault yet you are always the common denominator (eg losing all your friends). I know we don’t know you irl and you “choose what you want us to see”, but what we see is already very telling tbh, can’t even imagine if that is the filtered version Also please stop with the working out 2-3 hours and starving yourself to be a size 8, it is scientifically not a thing 😭

I've been a susbcriber for years now, and I usually leave encouraging words in these types of videos in your channel. But that in reality does not help you. Instead, I'm going to recommend something that will actually help you: please, see a therapist. We your audience can listen to you but some have bad intentions and some just can't really understand what you're going thru. On the other hand, some of us want to see you happy and some others can relate to how you feel. In any case, that may help a little, but just temporarily. The issues you have with the perception of yourself can only get solved with professional help, not just venting to some strangers... we ALL need therapy, and you're no exception. Please consider it, I have many friends that have gotten therapy and their life has improved a lot. I say this with good intentions, and please, don't share more than you need about your private life, wether on videos or on lives. People will always comment and many will come from ignorance. So please, be careful with what you share if that's gonna make you feel sad in the end.

I say this respectfully as someone who has a mental illness (a few actually) but here’s the thing: you are the only person who can manage your mental health issues. You have to do the coping, do the healing, put in the work to get better, get meds, get into things that help your mental and emotional status. No therapist, doctor, or other person who can help you will do it FOR you. Only you can do that and it’s like managing any other chronic illness, you just learn to manage it in healthy ways. But with mental illness it takes work from within yourself.

You literally asked people to mind their words and to be kind - please a little self reflection and realisation! I don’t know how often you need to hear it - it never seems to sink in - but you are a beautiful, articulate and creative woman, why don’t you ever hear those comments? I rarely see people being mean to you for the sake of it, I often see genuine concern/advice, often in response to self deprecating comments you’ve made. I’ve seen people offer solicited suggestions on content they’d like to see, you make excuses as to why you can’t/won’t and don’t want to do that content. Again that’s your right and your choice - but you can’t keep doing these negative videos that make those who genuinely care about you, feel bad. Take some time off KZbin and start walking. Like daily, for at least 20 minutes. Slowly build it up to an hour. If there's a place with hiking trails, DO THAT! It will do wonders for your emotional and physical health, and you will lose weight over time. I've been overweight off and on my entire adult life. Exercise is the only change that actually took the weight off and kept it off. I eat a healthy meal once a day plus 2 desserts. If I stop walking, hiking and gardening, the weight creeps back on. But that's an easy fix. It's hard because I also have chronic pain, but it does wonders for anxiety and overall mood.

Cassie I hope this comment reaches you and sits with you with the intention of constructive advice rather negative criticism. As you stated in the video, words have weight and meaning. When you mentioned in one of your live streams about Fig and you’d rather have him fat and happy, that was an alarming comment to your subscribers. And in the comments of that live, so many of your subscribers provided advice on how to help maintain your cats weight and supportive messages. But instead of focusing on that, in your following stream you were snippy at your subscribers saying how we took it as “morbid” and “cryptic” and turned your words into something else. I feel as though sometimes you’re overshadowed with protecting yourself and what you believe is to be right at that moment… and in return you hurt your subscribers who try to support you. It’s hard to accept criticism, even the ones approached nicely. But I hope you take the time to recognize some of the destructive behaviors you have that other people have noticed/mentioned and work on healthier alternatives. You shouldn’t focus more on the negative comments rather than the ones who support and love you on every single video. I know it can be easier said then done, but your words have meaning too so alway consider your approach and tone when talking to your audience.

Everyone has shit to work on every day, fully accepting yourself is basically just giving up working on your flaws and hang ups which should be lifelong journey to be better. Mentally and physically.

Nobody has any business commenting on weight, health, or diet at all unless Cassie brings it up. I wish people would just use common courtesy. This channel is not about weight loss and she didn’t ask for opinions on it. She did go live and act poorly though. Many of the comments were valid. If a large group of people has the same opinion, then there’s clearly a reason for it. You can’t act that way and expect only positive feedback.

I think by now you should be able to deal with negative comments. That's life in general too just ignore it. I'm sure if we all were online we would get negative comments too. I enjoy your vlogs. Maybe you can turn comments off on those videos. Perhaps do take a break from livestreams as well. You actually seemed more comfortable with yourself recently. By the way you can loose weight and not starve yourself. I was almost 170lbs 5ft2 and I used a weight loss calculator free online and I did exercise mostly walking and lost 70lbs in about a year and a half. Its about being healthy. As far as how you treat your pets people do seem go be over critical. Again try to ignore it. Everyone I watch that had videos with their partners and pets also even children get mean comments or putting their 2 cents in. Its part of putting yourself out there online.

Hi! Im 5"2 and am overweight as well. 160 pounds... Hw many times n hw often did u exercise to lose the pounds? What about diet and stuff? I admit I've been eating more meals n snacking on unhealthy food and hence why I've gained 22 pounds in just 4 short mths haha. This was a helpful comment for Cassie too!
@Sindri27 Жыл бұрын
@@plaster.art.ho3 I started out walking about 20 minutes to 30 minutes maybe 4 to 5 days a week. I did a lot of low impact workout videos on KZbin about 3 times a week. The videos weren’t too long. I have some dumbbells and lifted weights a couple of times a week. As for food I just made sure to eat within he calorie range that I got from the weight loss calculator I did cut down a lot on junk food. If I did get something like say crackers cookies chips things like that I would make snack packs and divide them up into portions. I hope that helps.

A few treats after medication or nail trims is not unhealthy. Everything in moderation. Honestly, get off your high horse. You probably know nothing about cats but have to throw your two cents in. Get a hobby 😊😊x

Those who try to bring you down are actually jealous so of you. Turn any negative into a positive. Prayers, blessings and love to you and Dan, Debbie

Oh no, I'm so sorry to hear about Galliano Cassie. 😢 I loved him from afar and I know exactly how it feels to lose a pet. I had a particularly strong bond with my last name cat. I adopted him from my vets office when he was 4. ALL INDOOR CATS WILL BE OVERWEIGHT, no matter what! He was and so is my current girl. And she has a huge fenced in yard to roam around in, so she gets a lot of exercise. I have falcoln bells on her so she can chase the birds but not catch them. Anyway, The loss of my male cat was horrific. I cried so much I burst a blood vessel in my eye. I had to see a psychologist. And you know what he told me? Get a KITTEN. Like 3 to 6 months old. He said I would be too busy laughing to be sad. And man, he was right! I did wait 5 months and she was a rescue, but wow, I had never had a KITTEN before. The cat before my male was a blind 18 year old, lol. As for the people criticizing your cat mothering skills. Everyone has an opinion about everything, which is fine! But if you stick to beauty videos and not talk about your personal life too much, that won't be an issue. I give my cat 2 cat treats a week, she's on diet food, exercises like a KITTEN still yet is still overweight. I even walk her on a harness.

I didn't even realize how trapped inside my own head I was until I saw a psychologist (I have ocd) I can relate to rude comments or just plain criticism getting under your skin and making you feeling vulnerable. It makes you feel like you're doing something wrong when you are actually living a normal life and the rest of us aren't any different or any "better" either. Have you taken a look at plus sized fashion youtubers? Many of them are inspirational not just fashion but looking at your body in a different angle. Also Dan seems like the type of a person who can handle himself and speak up if he was bothered by something. Have a good day Cassie

It doesn't have to be a part of your life have you ever thought it's your diet? Get rid of the carbs and sugar and eat fatty meats fish eggs butter. I guaranty you'll get better mentally within a week or two feel so much energy and lose a ton of weight! I swear! And all your other ailments.

Completely agree! What we eat plays a big part in mental health and getting rid of processed foods, no matter how you eat (vegan, vegetarian, keto, etc…) is so important. Eating whole foods and getting away from sugars and carbs on a daily basis is huge. Small changes can add up and improve your mood overtime.
@eden1250 Жыл бұрын
I agree tbh. I know she didn’t ask but I honestly think a paleo diet would do wonders for her mental health and inflammation. There is zero scientific data that depression is caused by “chemical imbalance” but there are links to inflammation and anxiety/depression/overall health issues. I tried a vegetarian diet a few years ago and my mental health was HORRIBLE. Recently I tried paleo with lots of meat and healthy fats (while also doing daily cardio) and my physical/mental health was so amazing. Obviously different things work for different people but it just doesn’t seem like what she’s doing is working. I sincerely hope she feels better soon regardless of if she tries anything else or not.

There's nothing wrong with not being happy with yourself, but don't hate yourself at the same time. If you're not happy then do something to fix it but look after yourself in the process.

It’s only until you get older and wiser from experience that you will realize you have wasted so much precious time possible happiness ruminating about your body … any aspect of it. Even if a person is “gorgeous” their body is eventually going to turn to ashes one day …. So imagine if at the end of your life you will see how much time you wasted on caring what others think of you, doubting yourself, explaining yourself, and for what? For who? Followers? Comments from strangers? Don’t give these people any energy…they don’t deserve that power. I have experienced everything you are discussing for over 25 years depression Body Dysmorphia and guess what I have lost so much time caring…it’s just not worth it. You should never compromise your own self worth even though the depression will convince you otherwise….depression lies to the one who has it …it convinces them they are worthless hopeless weak beyond love and help and even convinces some that life isn’t worth living. ….it’s a disease that lies and cheats and preys upon your vulnerabilities….depression is not a flaw it is an illness that no one has been able to map out medically like other illnesses but that doesn’t mean it’s any less of an illness. Please try to reframe your thinking when negative comments come your way…giving 2 💩💩s about what some stranger thinks isnt worth triggering your mind or precious time. I know you will get over this hump. And you do too. Rest enjoy the cats and animals of this world and the ones you love.

Yeah something about as women when our hormones start changing in our 40s it gets easier to not care so much about what others think. I wish she could own what she says and stop being on the defensive. But I think she's far from that, so I just hope she at least stops doing the Livestreams.

Cassie, do you honestly think that those commenting negatively on your channel are supermodels themselves? Yeah, no. The issue is if you make your life public, you open yourself up to criticism. Thats just how it is. I can never be on KZbin but I do enjoy your channel and respect your views and your life. Some people just can't be mature and they just have to be Karens about everything.

I think people forget they are seeing small snippets of your life. They want to play arm-chair psychologist. They might even believe they can help you. Just remember that first sentence. It's also none-ya, my mom would say. lol None ya business. I have depression and anxiety that I manage. It's genetic. You're managing your valley well. You are talking about it. Oh, and don't feel bad about the pet snacks. I give my dog treats with his Sam-E supplement the vet prescribed. He gets peanut butter pill pockets. He also gets them with his Benadryl for skin allergies. In fact, Benadryl is his favorite word. He could be the spokesdog for them. And he gets tiny "snicks" at bedtime (Milkbone tiny pb bones). I swear he counts them. He will paw my pillow if I give him less than 3.

Oh Cassie (sigh) it would be easy for many of us to say oh get over it…..but we aren’t in your shoes and no one can really understand the mental battles that you go through. I am sad however….there are many times that you post a video about makeup reviews in which you’re camera is up close and I always find myself say…..Cassie is so pretty. My wish is that one day you would see the same beauty in yourself that we all see. You have someone in your life that loves you UNCONDITIONALLY. Enjoy the present Cassie…..we can all see how much Dan loves you…..because he saw we all see. Enjoy life and everything will fall in its place. Lastly we all know how much you love your fur babies….they are happy and loved and we see how much you take care of them. Cassie, if KZbin is a trigger for you perhaps….then maybe you may want to disable your comments…..just a thought.
