I got the epidural with my last baby(my 6th) & I also felt like I failed and wasn't doing it natural. My nurse quickly and kindly reminded me a baby coming out of your hoohah is all natural. Medication is there for a reason. It helps. I wish I would have not soldiered through my other labors and just got the damn epidural. You've done an amazing job, Mama ❤️

No, that's not true, but medical care in Poland is subpar, as compared to the US. The first clue, that would have had me, on the first plane back to the states, for prenatal care and delivery, was when Iyah, was examined , during her prenatal appointment, and the doctor , did not put on any gloves. Iyah , thought that was okay, because he washed his hands, before starting. I remember,one of the first things, my clinical instructed us to do, before we were about to start clinicals. "Remember, if it's wet or moist, and it's not yours, don't touch it." Moving forward through the years, washing , your hands, and gloving, began to be especially emphasized, to doctors, who studies showed, that a high percentage of Doctors , were not washing their hands, in between patients. This means they could possibly bring germs to their patients and other microbes, that could make them mild to very seriously ill . If the patient is immune compromised, or suffers from chronic health conditions, or is in a debilitated state , already. This could mean, if they get any more sick , that doctor or nurse, who failed to do proper hand washing techniques, and failed to glove, when necessary, may be delivering, to there patients, a possible death sentence.

What I'm assuming is that the mid-wife had a building. This may or may not have been a hospital. The price was nice. When I had my children you were not suppose to eat while in labor, I've heard of ( mom always wore her own gowns) of women wearing their own gowns so that's not bad. The bath or shower is off limits because the baby could come out you're opening up in warm water. Her husband is so detached to knowing what should be done and she don't know what to do. Thank the Lord for being in the mist. I just pray she and the baby be okay

I actually feel sorry for Iyah. She’s in labor in a foreign country having her first baby. She’s only 23. Her mother is not there. She doesn’t speak Polish.I can’t believe that her husband left her alone in the hospital to go home and take a nap(or whatever he did).Anything could have happened. Even when he was there he was grumpy and was complaining about having to sit on a stool when she was sitting in the comfortable chair. Too bad he can’t experience labor pains.

What I did was sing and breathe. And pray 🙏 That's what got me through. I didn't scream at all. They don't like it when you scream. Relax. Let nature take it's course. God bless you. My husband prayed with me he rubbed my back and held my hand.
