I worked at this prison for 15 years. You would not believe how haunted the place is. When I retired I felt like I was given a pardon as well. I had many incredible experiences there! THE STORIES I COULD TELL.

I worked in a maximum security prison for 2 years. It really is like being incarcerated with murderers and rapists for 8 hours a day. The only quiet time I ever got was on Sunday mornings 6 AM when everyone would be asleep and Antiques Roadshow would play in the TV room.

I would say the stuff you called asbestos was more likely paint (probably with some lead in it) and plaster. I love that Opie hugs you. Our cat Cattie-Brie acts like a baby and wants on my shoulder to sleep and for reassurance. Opie looked nervous and needed dad to comfort him.

You are going to the wrong rivers. Beautiful rivers, clear, Current River, Jacks Forks River. Absolutely beautiful. Also Missouri has tons of natural springs that you need to visit. Anyway, get off that beaten path you take and experience the beautiful clear rivers of Missouri

Hey Eric! 👋 Loved this longer video and the tour was great. That car with no plate? Yeesh, that would creep me out, too. Situational awareness is your best defense to not have to go on the offense. I especially liked your intro and you saying- "Let's go!" Could be you're new catch phrase, like CVK has his little phrase and his hum. Love that! Looking forward to some quirky, interesting and enjoyable new adventures with you and the 😸 😸. Was a snuggle bug Opie turned out to be. I bet it makes your heart sing. Safe travels. Blessed and 70- 72 degree days be yours.

Jefferson City is located on an American Hidden Gem, US 50. US 50 starts out East in Ocean City Maryland and ends somewhere West in Sacramento. CA. Sections of US 50 include the Lincoln Highway and the Loneliest Highway in Nevada. Oddly US 50 is a hidden gem because most of the highway goes through rural areas, towns and small cities. Kansas City is one of the few major cities along US 50.

The prison was creepy. I can't imagine how crowded 6 to a cell would be. I have seen a movie with a gas chamber before and read it's a horrible way to die. Opie neck nuts were really cute. It could be a distraction while driving though. Take care of yourself, Tara and Opie.

I was told the color is due to the clay/mud bottom. The Pudding River by Aurora, OR looks dirty but it is because of the clay bottom. When my Lectric was stolen I thought it would do them no good because they did not have the key but then I was reminded all they had to do was buy a new battery with its own key. They never did find it or the other two Lectrics stolen. In fact from the police report they closed the case once the paperwork was done.
