I also think the ex wife has some stellar dignity. Like her ex husband and the mistress are acting like ratchet animals and I think to her acting like that is just not gonna happen. She has more dignity in her body than the ex husband and mistress combined. She's not gonna make a fool of herself and go and do completely crazy things like first cheating and breaking up a long marriage and then also marry the mistress???? To any normal person those actions are just the lowest of the low, like an animal that doesn't think and just does because they want. Especially the mistress has zero dignity. She is really out here looking for validation from people that are married so she can feel like "they picked me over their wife, lol that means I am better than them". Absolutely sick to seek validation from hurting others like that. She has no dignity to act like that. She's the equivalent of a puke puddle on the ground, but thinks she's hot shit because their affair partner "chose" them in the end? (more like was stuck with them cuz they just bombed their marriage) Delusional to the max. She has no love for herself if she has to do such extreme things just to feel validated. They will probably never get it either. She can continue looking at the ex wife and realize she is nothing compared to her, she's a puke puddle and the ex wife is carrying herself like a royalty where dignity is not just a word but actually a way of life.

Any chance that on some level the Ex feels GRATITUDE to the OP? As strange as that sounds maybe she did not love him anymore when the affair started and was kind of wanting a divorce and moving on herself and this gave her a very convenient excuse to do so with him seeming like the villain (which might be true). Maybe she WANTED an easy way out of the marriage. Also, maybe she had a very high degree of RATIONALITY and knew that if her husband was a cheater he would find SOMEONE and expecting all women to be moral enough not to sleep with a married man is a much taller order than expecting him to be loyal. So maybe proving to her that he was a cheater gave her the "information" she needed. The ex-wife isn't being the "bigger person", she simply stopped caring. When a woman stops caring about the person that hurts them, it makes moving forward effortless. Sometimes when a person hurts you emotionally so bad, it makes you numb & sometimes exhausted. You no longer feel the need to fight. Because what exactly would you be fighting for? The ex-wife has accepted that her ex-husband is an unfaithful lying spouse. The only thing to do is to move forward with her & kids lives. As for OP, unsurprising that she's selfish inconsiderate & lacks accountability. OP is an example of how cheaters & individuals that knowly get with married people need to make the spouse the "bad guy" to justify their awful behavior & attitude
@carlrood4457 Жыл бұрын
This is a true example of "being the bigger person". It's not done to appease the crowd, keep the peace, etc. OP's husband's ex acts in the way that best suits herself, happiness, and her moral code. That's what the term really means. It's not about being a doormat, but about acting in a way you believe is right, even to people who have wronged you. You don't "stoop to their level", because those tactics and behaviors are not who you are. It has nothing to do with what outside forces want you to do, nor is it about appearances.
@WhitneyDahlin Жыл бұрын
Usually people who are telling you to be the bigger person are saying that because they want you to let the bad behavior slide. The wife did not let her husband's behavior slide. She divorced him but wasn't vindictive about it. He faced consequences for his actions. That's what the difference is. If someone is telling you to be the bigger person and if you can replace that phrase with don't say anything and let this behavior slide then that isn't what you should do. Reasonable consequences are different than being petty and vindictive

All these years if he has taught me anything it is that he is a shitty father and someone like him cannot be trusted. I made the biggest mistake of my life believing he would come through. The only reason I never even bother because of what he did in the past. Lastly I will not push him to come to my wedding. That is his choice. It's not he is paying for it anyways. That was it. Later I got a message from my stepmom that what I said has broken my father. He is very much upset. I told her well if he upset by the truth then he shouldn't have asked and pushed my buttons. He has ignored me all my childhood. He doesn't get to play the dad." Hello, 911? Yeah, I'd like to report an attempted murder. The subject is severely burned, and I'm not sure he will survived. Damn OP Straight up roasted his deadbeat ass soul so fucking hard, his wife called OP to whine about how much OP permanently left him all different types of wrecked.

@@heatheraucoin5832yep. Likely never intended on leaving the ex wife. He just probably got bored or tired of the same-ole-same-ole and decided to cheat instead of put effort into the marriage. Then he got blindsided when ex-wife didnt want him. Lol he took the one chick who still wanted him.

Ex dumped the cheater he just didn't reveal that fact until the last update she won nothing he was cut loose, as to the cheating he probably didn't feel worthy of his wife so went hunting for a woman he deserved and he found her

the truth... it makes me happy that the OP in the first story is miserable... anyone who is with a person KNOWING that that person is with another, loses all respect for me... same goes for the husband . It is very clear that she wanted to feel like the sexy cat that destroyed the ex, that the husband chose her for being so much better and she could wallow in her tears, while enjoying seeing how this woman's life collapses in the misery of seeing her with husband... but life gave her a slap in the face, not only did the ex not stop to cry over the spilled milk, but also the family that she wanted to win will never accept her and the only reason they half tolerate her is because of the request of the woman she wanted to destroy...and besides she is winning over her own family! 🤣 . Same to the husband, for being a horrible and selfish man he lost his ex, his family hates him and he has to see his ex succeed in life and get someone much better than him.

Story 1 - "If he loved her why did he marry me" silly question. lol because his wife wouldn't take him back. Duh. A lot of people only marry their affair partner because what's the point of losing two relationships? If his wife had been ready to give him another chance op would have been tossed out like an afterthought and forgotten about. Op is really stupid. Ofc I'm glad for this outcome. I never root for homewreckers and loved all of the commentary tearing into op. Story 2 - I heard this one a few times. NTA. He's aware of what it'll tell people seeing his daughter prefer her stepdad over him and he only cares about how people will perceive him.

This is what they’re talking about when they say “kill them with kindness” I genuinely don’t think the ex cares about her or her ex at all, because she was just in the marriage most likely for her children and him having an affair was a way for her to get out well looking like the better person because she is the better person

At the absolute least, she's honest in saying that she tries to find fault in the ex wife. She's hanging on to that sliver of hope that the ex dies something bad so she can say "SEE? I KNEW IT." and finally feel justified. But yeah, the ex is killing OP with kindness without an ounce of effort. Good for her! Edit: I saw the update and it SUCKS TO SUCK.

My ex left me and got a new wife. I moved on. After few years i got better job and bought better apartment than his. He called and suggested we can be together again. But, his new wife then? He said, i can be with him, take him back from his new wife and thus take my revenge on her. I have till date sympathies for the new wife. At the same time, i think she got her punishment by having this cheater and ass****.

The 1st wife has a new man (OPs cousin) and sounds like wedding bells are in the near future. I wish…..That there would be an engagement party and the oldest child says to her future stepdad, “I wish you both best of love in your future marriage. Be good to my mom.” And then the guy says, “I will do my best to make her the happiest woman ever. Besides I would be really dumb to lose a wonderful woman like her.” And then everyone would silently laugh and look over at the ex husband with his unhappy 2nd wife. He gets angry bc she moved on and is happy. I wonder does he blame OP bc it’s her cousin? He seems like the type to blame everything on everyone accept him for his problems. 1st marriage was shaky so he steps out of the marriage bc of their problems. What problems they had that involved him to cheat? And when his affair was discovered, he wanted to make this right. He should have done that before cheating not after realizing he was going to lose her and their family

the last comment on story 2 is something i vibe with. it's not just self-examination that's vital but you also need to have the ability to deal with discomfort. growth and discomfort come hand in hand, and that's probably why OP's sperm donor is the way he is. he only ever seeks comfort and runs away from anything that makes him uncomfortable, that's why he cheated, that's why he deflects blame, that's why he didn't show up at the wedding and that's also why he was never there for his child. because he fucked up, he knew he fucked up but he never wanted to confront that. it's emotionally easier to pretend that everything is fine and you did nothing wrong then to accept that everything is not fine and you fucked up.

Brrooooooooo the way she laid into her dad 😂😂🎉🎉🎉🎉 I did the same damn thing (not for a wedding it was him ignoring my 16th birthday, and then blaming it on me?? It wasn't the first time he completely ignored the day and ghosted me. First time was my 13th and it was the day we were putting my abuser in jail. So less about the birthday and more about what that day represented) and my gods it was cathartic as ffffffuuuuucccckkkk. He reacted the SAME DAMN WAY! It hurts like a bitch at first, but holy hell she's going to be so much better now

He probably spun it that op's mom was a monster...he did everything for op. he figured theyd see a happy daughter with her wonderful father at the wedding. how wonderful he put aside what the mom did to him to be the better man. but he cant look good if he isnt walking her down the aisle
