Nice song. I also have a "I'm Just a Man", thst I wrote, more an anthem than a love song like your song.. We both wrote both our songs the same time around 1987-88. In fact I believed my song "I'm Just a Man" was pitched to your office after you wrote your song, and before your song was released, but that was just the start of the strangeness of human coincidence. Our songs are very different. I like them both. I first heard your song in 1990 or there abouts. I think it was, but this happens all the time in the songwriting business. Two songs called "Middle Age Crazy" I think I remember were released and played on national country radio at the same time a few years back, no one knowing the other song existed with all involved agreeing, "just coincidence" There is room for 2 or 3 more "I'm Just a Man" songs if another writer has the chops to write a song like I'm Just a Man. It's all part of the carnival atmosphere, and strangeness of our American music business. I'd like to hear some new music from you if you still love doing it. I wish you good health and happiness. God bless u and family.

Take a listen to my "I'm Just a Man" on You Tube. I ready heard your song. It seems they both were written about the same time. I first heard your song a year or so after I wrote my song. You will see we went two different directions with the story line of the song. We only share the title, and a few rhyme words. No big deal. My "I'm Just a Man" was written with you in mind. To me it fit your image in many ways. The melody seemed to fit both our rough voices. I like both songs. You went with bringing a woman into the song. I chose a world view, and women can relate to the song also. Anyway we both wrote two very cool songs. EMI.and SONY own my publishing, and I think one other producer has a piece. I am only the writer. I own none of the publishing. The song was on hold for Willie at Epic but got passed on. It was going to be a single. That's the music business, yeah. Google willie nelson free soul.

This isn’t even hank Williams jr. for one.. the hank jr. before 1975 had blonde hair & a subpar voice.. then after “the accident,” which is a totally fabricated fairy tale, hank’s head miraculously shrunk, blonde hair turned brown, and he could sing like an angel only of lucifer’s choir.. don’t know who this dude is, but he’s Hank #3.. look at pics of 11 roses hank and whiskey bent & hell bound hank. Two totally different dudes.. then this guy singing In astonishingly pitch perfect baritone.. so how many hank jrs.’ Are there ?

Use your common sense dude.. dude fell 400-500 ft. Down Ajax Mountain.. Both Hank Jr. & Dick Willey said his whole face was torn off from striking a bolder.. I have heard everything from 8 to 13 surgeries. Hank just can’t seem to keep his numbers straight. He has not one single score anywhere on his face. Absolutely impossible. Even 46 years later today no reconstructive surgeon could possibly perform their feat without leaving one single scar.. IMPOSSIBLE.. I personally do not care about the fabricated story because I love Hank Williams Junior’s music. I like everything from Feelin’ Better to Aint Misbehaving to OD’d in Denver to I’ve Got Rights to I’m Just A Man to I’m Gonna Get Drunk & Play hank Williams All night Long . LOVE this or (these) guys’ music .. Besides the Allman Brothers and Lynyrd Skynyrd, he’s my favorite. But the story is 100% bullshit. Just use your common sense and look at videos, like on Letterman iwhen he takes off his glasses and has not one scar on his face and his eyes’ perfectly fine.. or the six minute documentary “ Clean Shavin”.. It is absolutely not the same dude. If you think it is, then you need to take a step back and check in with reality
