I'm Karen, But I'm Not a "Karen" - Time to Stop the Generational Bashing

From OK Boomer or Slackers to Entitled Millennials, generational bashing never stops. Generational differences are the last frontier where put-downs and stereotyping are acceptable.
Recently I was asked if I get offended because my name is Karen.
FYI "a Karen" is a middle-aged pushy white woman who has a bone to pick and is insensitive to those around her. She puts herself and her needs first and demands to "speak to the manager" to belittle service industry workers.
I'm not "a Karen," and I don't like the name-calling! Where does it get us putting other generations down? Today diversity and inclusion are on top of the corporate priorities list. The best way to discuss diversity starts with understanding the generations. Generations are at the core of cultural diversity.
If you get your feelings hurt if you are ever called a Karen, read The Four Agreements by Don Miguel Ruiz.. The second agreement is “Don’t take things personally.” It's worth the read for all of us.
And... If you have a problem being called 'a Karen' then don't be one? Don't call the police on people and don’t ask to speak to the manager.
